July Classes Advanced Beginning <strong>Knitting</strong>: Ready to make a sweater? In this class you will learn the next steps in knitting - reading patterns, check gauge, knitting with double point needles (DPN's) and circular needles, and much more. The project is a top down sweater!! Cost: $50.00 plus supplies. Instructor: Barb Tuesdays, July 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursdays, July 14, 28, August 11, & 25 from 12 - 2 p.m. Beaded Wristlets: Create beautiful wristlets that will look great with any outfit. Mondays, July 25, August 1 and 8 from 6 - 8 p.m. Christmas Tree Garland: You can deck your halls with a fun tree garland. Each tree is crocheted in one piece from sock yarn. Saturday, July 30 from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Double Knit Headband: Learn the technique of double knitting while making a double thick reversible headband using a pattern by Nancy Lindberg. Cost: $30 plus supplies. Instructor: Martha. Saturdays, July 16 and 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Felted Stocking: These funky and/or traditional stockings knit quickly. They are knit while chunky wool that will felt. This class is a good one for beginning knitters. Cost: $30 plus supplies. Instructor: Barb. Thursdays, July 7 and 14 from 6 - 8 p.m. Great American Aran Afghan: The Great American Afghan class teaches chart reading, cableing, making bobbles, and techniques needed to make the various squares from the book. This class is going to focus on assembling the squares. Cost: $15 plus supplies. Instructors: all of us. Wednesday, July 13 from 6 - 8 p.m. Gnome Babies: These little guys are so cute and quick to make! They make great gifts for that new grandchild or friends of the office.
