Cockle Row Cottages

Make the 10-minute journey from Bangor back
300 years to when the little sailing harbour
was a major port. Cockle Row Cottages have
displays of tourist and heritage information and
a small gift shop of local crafts and mementos
to take home.
Free family friendly events take place at the
cottages every weekend, 2-4pm, starting
from Easter Saturday and Sunday to the first
weekend in September, events include the
annual Eagle Wing event when Ulster’s link with
the USA is celebrated with the commemoration
of the voyage of the Eagle Wing ship that set
sail from Groomsport harbour for the new
world in 1636.
