3.2. AIDE Demonstration vehicles and Virtual Prototypes
The in-vehicle HMI integration and the Virtual Prototypes are project results that will
contribute to disseminate AIDE in a more attractive and direct way to the interested
audience.
Within the AIDE project three demonstrator vehicles have been chosen as platforms for
the AIDE functionalities:
- a Volvo FH12 as truck demonstrator,
- a Fiat Chroma as a luxury car and
- a Seat Leon as a city car demonstrator.
All vehicles will be able to show integrated and adaptive HMI solutions based on
different ADAS and IVIS. During the final phase of the project these demonstrators will
be used to generally evaluate the AIDE concept. In addition, these vehicles will be used
in different combinations depending on the event to major conferences and exhibitions
around Europe. In this way, the results of the project can be displayed and the interest for
the project will be increased as people will gain a clear picture of the project’s
achievements.
