Parish Pastoral Council :
Do you have an opinion, concern or suggestion for our parish that you’ve been wanting to voice? You are welcome to
speak to one of the 14 members of St. Patrick’s Parish Pastoral Council.
St. Patrick’s Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is made up of parishioners of St. Patrick, who volunteer their time providing
study, reflection and recommendations on issues that directly impact our parish. PPC members, who serve in several of St. Patrick’s
ministries, work closely with Father Dunn and meet as a group every second Monday from October through June. PPC members
adhere to policy guidelines and procedures similar to not-for-profit boards. Minutes from the monthly PPC meetings are posted on
St. Patrick’s website.
PPCs were first recommended in Vatican II’s Decree on the Pastoral Office of Bishops. Today, PPCs exist in nearly threefourths
of the 18,000 Catholic parishes in the U. S. Members of the PPC serve for three years and are nominated by fellow parishioners,
administrative staff and former PPC members.
At St. Patrick, Maureen Schmidt serves as the PPC chairperson. Other members are: Peggy Gaier, Scott Arne, Jim Armstrong,
Tim Henry, Todd Kalis, Pat McGuire, Jim Mordini, Veronica Pantelis, Tom Perozzi, Pat Plodzeen, Colleen von Ohlen,
Maria Westropp and Father Dunn.
PPC wants to hear from you. You can email comments to ppc@StPatrick-LakeForest.org, or use the suggestion box located
10 in the west hallway, beneath the PPC member photos. All suggestions are reviewed at each PPC meeting.
