student’s

college

opportunity

 incoming
 students

 orientation

our
Orientation
Leaders
(OLs).
The
OLs
will
help
you
 to
 build
 relationships
 with
 your
 peers
 and
 make
lasting
connections
with
the
students
who
will
be
with
you
 throughout
your
 collegiate
and
 artistic
journey.
ASPIRE
Cornish
 Connection
 offers
 you
 the
opportunity
 to
 participate
 in
 department
meetings
 in
 order
 to
 be
 introduced
 and
oriented
to
your
new
academic
home
and
the
expectations
of
you
as
a
student‐artist
while
at
Cornish
in
the
Art,
Dance,
Design,
Music,
 Performance
 Production,
 and
Theater
departments.
LEARN
College,
especially
going
to
an
arts
college,
is
 sometimes
 challenging,
 but
 it
 can
 also
be
 a
 great
 adventure!
 During
 Cornish
Connection
 we
 will
 provide
 you
 with
 a
“road‐map”
of
how
to
navigate
college
by
offering
 sessions
 on
 what
 you
 need
 to
know
 about
 campus
 and
 community
resources,
which
exist
to
support
you
both
as
a
student
and
an
individual.
You
will
also
be
able
to
participate
in
a
scavenger
hunt
that
will
take
you
and
your
orientation
group
on
a
race
across
the
campus
and
city
 while
 introducing
 you
 to
 all
 of
 the
ways
 to
 navigate
 your
 way
 through
Seattle.

For
New
Students
CREATE
Cornish
Connection
is
ALL
about
creating
connections—with
 your
 faculty,
 staff,
student
 leaders,
 and
 your
 peers.
 Cornish
Connection
 provides
opportunities
within
orientation
 groups
 to
 learn
 about
 other
new
 students
 like
 yourself
 through
 team
activities
and
sessions
attended
together.
Sessions
 with
 campus
 administrators,
staff,
and
student
leaders
will
help
you
to
start
 creating
 connections
 within
 the
Cornish
 community.
 Finally,
 Cornish
Connection
 is
 about
 creating
 an
 idea
 of
how
 you
 want
 to
 spend
 your
 time
 at
Cornish
as
a
student,
as
an
artist,
and
as
a
community
member.

meet

 Council
(CSLC)
 to
 see
 how
 their
 student
involvement
 has
 brought
 innovation
within
the
Cornish
community
in
regard
to
student
 interests
 and
 needs.

 learn

 all

 the
different
 organizations
 that
 have
 been
formed

Cornish.
