2.0 Executive Director from Academic Improvement & Accountability:
Aida Molina presented on the Local Education Agency Plan (LEA Plan)
Mrs. Molina used a power point to present the Corrective Action & School Reform
that needed to take place, members followed with a handout (see handout). Mrs.
Molina explained how BCSD was indentified as Program Improvement back in
2005 and since we failed to exit PI in 2007 the district is now on its 3 rd year and
must take such corrective action. The corrective action the district has chosen is
the following:
Corrective Action F
‣ Fully Implement New Curriculum
‣ Provide Professional Development
‣ Improve Achievement for High Priority Students
Amend LEA Plan or Plan Addendum
Assign Technical Assistance: District Assistance Intervention Team
(DAIT)
‣ WestEd
Reserve Right to assign additional corrective action

3.0 Officer Nominations & Elections
Dawn Kobos members reviewed the officer’s responsibilities and open the floor
for nominations
3.1 Chairperson
Andrea Jackson made motion to nominate Delia Barron from Hort School,
Jessica Gonzales from Hills seconded the motion. Delia Barron accepted
nomination. Vote by ballot was taken – Delia Barron is the new
Chairperson.
3.2 Vice Chairperson
Dawn Kobos explained that Linda Valencia from Sierrra School requested
her name be on the ballot for vice chair but was not present at the
meeting. There were no other nominations for vice chair. Committee
voted by ballot. Linda will be the vice chair pending on her accepting
position.
3.3 Secretary
Louisa Hernandez from Parent Involvement was voted by ballot to be
secretary. Louisa Hernandez accepted.

Andrea Jackson from Harris made motion to adjourn meeting, Michelle Alaniz
from Williams seconded motion, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 12:55pm.
