<strong>Electronic</strong> <strong>lock</strong> MIFARE ®<br />

Application<br />

The <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong>5010</strong> F is the ideal solution for the convenient electronic<br />

<strong>lock</strong>ing of wardrobe <strong>lock</strong>ers in fitness clubs, baths, golf resorts, and other<br />

individual <strong>com</strong>pany applications such as safes. The identification at the<br />

<strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong>5010</strong> F is carried out via contactless RFID data carriers (Radio<br />

Frequency Identification). The <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong>5010</strong> F is suitable for any kind<br />

of <strong>lock</strong>er material (steel sheets, wood, HPL, fully synthetic materials, or<br />

glass) and is useable for doors that open to the left or right. The various<br />

operating modes enable the rather flexible use of these <strong>lock</strong>s.<br />

Function description<br />

<strong>Lock</strong>ers can be electronically <strong>lock</strong>ed and opened via contactless data<br />

carriers with the <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong>5010</strong> F. The user presses the door shut and<br />

holds the data carrier up to the reader centre that is mounted on the door.<br />

The <strong>lock</strong>ing of the door is signalled by an LED. The <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong>5010</strong> F is<br />

connected to the <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> Controller <strong>5010</strong> FX unit (up to 16 <strong>lock</strong>s per<br />

control unit).<br />

Mounting and installation instructions<br />

The <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong>5010</strong> F is mounted on the lateral surface of the <strong>lock</strong>er<br />

body by means of 3 screws. The door bolt is mounted on the inside of<br />

the <strong>lock</strong>er door by means of the mounting plate and spacer. Observe the<br />

installation instructions in the corresponding mounting instructions of the<br />

<strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong>5010</strong> F.<br />

Door opening<br />

There are doors that can open to the right or left. For left-side mounted<br />

doors, the <strong>lock</strong> is mounted rotated 180° (status display is at the bottom).<br />

the reader field (2) is located between the door bolt and status display.<br />

A minimum distance of 200 mm must be observed between two<br />

adjacent <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong>s <strong>5010</strong> F. Otherwise, mutual interference might c<strong>au</strong>se<br />

identification malfunctions.<br />

Door bolt<br />

The door bolt is mounted on the inside of the <strong>lock</strong>er door by means of the<br />

mounting plate and spacer. The rubber washer guides the bolt.<br />

For the marking of the bolt position on the <strong>lock</strong>er door, the use of the <strong>GAT</strong><br />

<strong>Lock</strong> Tool 5982 is re<strong>com</strong>mended (refer to the ordering instructions). The<br />

marking and mounting of the bolts should be performed after the <strong>lock</strong>ers<br />

have been aligned at their final installation site.<br />

Select the appropriate fastening screws for the mounting plate and spacer<br />

depending on the door material and thickness. Always use countersunk<br />

head screws, as the heads must not protrude above the surface of the<br />

mounting plate.<br />

<strong>lock</strong>er door is closed. Please observe the following interrelation of the<br />
