<strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong><strong>Control</strong>ler</strong> <strong>5010</strong> <strong>BX</strong><strong>Control</strong> <strong>unit</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong>5010</strong> B LEGIC ®ApplicationThe <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong><strong>Control</strong>ler</strong> <strong>5010</strong> <strong>BX</strong> is used <strong>for</strong> controlling the <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong><strong>5010</strong> B (LEGIC ® ). The locks are directly connected to the <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong><strong><strong>Control</strong>ler</strong> <strong>5010</strong> <strong>BX</strong> (up to 16 <strong>unit</strong>s) and can be individually configured.The control <strong>unit</strong> can be operated in online mode (via a PC/server) or inoffline mode (<strong>au</strong>tonomously).Function descriptionThe <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong><strong>Control</strong>ler</strong> <strong>5010</strong> <strong>BX</strong> is connected to a PC/server via a serialRS 485 network. In online operation, the control <strong>unit</strong> captures the data carrier,which is read at the lock, and <strong>for</strong>wards the in<strong>for</strong>mation to the PC/server<strong>for</strong> the verification of credentials. The current status of the locking systemis also <strong>for</strong>warded to the PC/server, enabling the visualisation of the systemstatus (<strong>for</strong> example, with <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> Administration). In offline operation,the control <strong>unit</strong> <strong>au</strong>tonomously per<strong>for</strong>ms the verification of credentials. Mounting and installation instructionsThe <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong><strong>Control</strong>ler</strong> <strong>5010</strong> <strong>BX</strong> should ideally be placed so as to allowthe connection of the controlled locks without additional extension cords(Re<strong>com</strong>mendation: Placement in or on top of the row of lockers).Wall mountingFor the wall mounting of the <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong><strong>Control</strong>ler</strong> <strong>5010</strong> <strong>BX</strong>, an optionalinstallation kit with a matching wall mounting is available (refer to theordering instructions).Space requirementWhen placing the <strong>GAT</strong> <strong>Lock</strong> <strong><strong>Control</strong>ler</strong> <strong>5010</strong> <strong>BX</strong> <strong>unit</strong>, make sure that thereis sufficient space <strong>for</strong> opening and closing the cover of the control <strong>unit</strong>,as well as <strong>for</strong> inserting the cables via the front cover (1).
