Nurse’s Update
ForsythKids Dental is a program that comes right to Memorial Middle School. Over a dozen of our students took
advantage of this program and were seen by the program's staff. Students received dental exams by licensed
dentists. Students also had their teeth cleaned and received the following treatments as needed: fluoride
treatments, temporary fillings, and sealants. Students also received a free toothbrush and toothpaste. If any
problems were detected, students were referred to local dentists for follow-up. They all had a great experience.
If your child did not take advantage of this FREE opportunity and you would still like them to, please stop by the
table outside the main office and pick up an information packet about the program. The consent forms are inside
the packet. Your child can enroll at anytime during the school year and the ForsythKids dental staff will see
them on one of their return trips in January or in the springtime. Did I mention that this is a Free program?
Forsyth Kids Dental Program is a FREE dental program for students in Hull Public Schools. If you have dental
insurance, they will bill your insurance. However, you will not have any out-of-pocket expenses. If you do not
have dental insurance, there are no fees; the program is free.
Packets are available in the main office at Memorial. Please complete the paperwork and return to the main
GIFT CARDS MAKE GREAT GIFTS!
DEADLINE DECEMBER 10 TH
Major Retailers Want To Give Our Schools Money!
Dear Parents/Guardians:
We’re pleased to share some exciting news about a new fundraising program for our organization. It’s
called “scrip”, and it’s the fundraising program that works while you shop.
Scrip is simply a word that means “substitute money” – in other words, scrip is gift certificates from
national and local retailers. They’re the same gift certificates that you buy at the store. Many popular
retailers participate in our scrip program including JC Penney, The Gap, Shell, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster
and many, many others.
How can these stores help us raise money? It’s simple -- scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift
certificates to our organization at a discount. Member families like yours buy the certificates for full
face value, they redeem them for full face value, and our school keeps the difference as revenue. And
scrip is exciting, because everybody wins:
• The retailer gets cash up front and repeat business…
• You get a powerful fundraising alternative that involves no selling…
• Our school gets a regular source of revenue.
The beauty of scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money
for our schools without spending a single additional penny. Just spend your regular shopping dollars
with scrip at the stores that participate in the scrip program! And scrip can be used for just about any
household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out.
On the reverse side of this flyer is a partial list of some selected scripts that you may like to purchase.
For a full list of participating retail stores and selection you may view them at www.glscrip.com.
Please make sure you fill out the form and submit your check with your order made out to the
“Hull PTO”. Our next order deadline will be on December 10th. This should guarantee us delivery
by the holidays. PTO will continue this program throughout the year with an expansion to ordering
options later in the year.
The Scrip Program is a simple and effective fundraising program. Thanks for your support and enjoy
shopping!
