The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test, in which the English language skills of<br />
non-native speakers are tested. The test was developed for the university and college admission and simulated<br />
typical language situations from a degree course. The test is an admission requirement for almost all universities<br />
in the English-speaking world, especially in the USA. A certificate has a validity of up to two years after the date<br />
of the test. The TOEFL is carried out worldwide by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).<br />
T EST STRUCTURE TOEFL<br />
The entire test lasts for four to five hours with check-in, instruction, loading times and a 10-minute break included.<br />
You can look up the result of the test after approx three weeks online on your ETS profile.<br />
You will receive the test result by post approx four weeks after the test.<br />

TOEFL PREPARATORY<br />
The TOEFL preparatory courses take place in cooperation with the Leibniz University of Hanover in<br />
small groups of a maximum of 12 people. With a simulated test, you will be well-prepared for the test<br />
at the end of the course.<br />

In Hanover, you can do the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) at the Leibniz<br />
University and at the Fachhochschule (Polytechnic).<br />

a test simulation takes place. The course dates, which fall on a public holiday, will be made up at a later date.<br />

The course fee for 42 periods amounts to 240,00 €, inclusively mock-examination and registration fee.<br />
The admission requirements for this course are adequate language skills, which correspond to the level of<br />
B1/B2 of the Common European Reference Framework for Languages (for example, “Leistungskurs” English).<br />
The registration can be done at the <strong>ISK</strong> office or by e-mail (office@sk-hannover.de).<br />
