DISTINGUISHED PROFESSORS Each year the <strong>UL</strong> <strong>Lafayette</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> hosts the Distinguished Professors Award Banquet. Since the programs<br />
inception in 1965, there have been 144 Distinguished Professor awards given. Since 1992 when the Outstanding Teacher program was created,<br />
there have been 21 awards made. The honorees’ names are listed on plaques displayed in Edith Garland Dupre Library.<br />
