Grant Aerona HE range
The Aerona HE
Following the success of the original Aerona air
to water heat pump models, and in response to
comments and ideas from our customers, Grant
UK has developed the Aerona HE range.
The brief for this was straightforward - bigger single phase models,
higher outputs and COPs at lower air temperatures with quieter
noise levels, whilst maintaining the tried and tested features of
the existing Aerona range. The new Aerona HE is available in
6.5kW, 8.5kW, 12.5kW, 17.5kW and 21.5kW outputs (Note: this
does not include the immersion back up).
Design
To achieve better COP’s, and further reduce running costs, the
Aerona HE range was designed with larger evaporator surface
areas, increasing the amount of air flow through the unit. The
fans run at lower speeds and this coupled with the improved
internal insulation has successfully decreased noise levels. The
HE models also use R410a refrigerant, which allows the unit to
operate at lower ambient temperatures.
As with all products in the Aerona range, the models are designed
to be installer friendly and come complete with factory fitted
weather compensation controls, 3kW electrical backup* and
flexible flow and return connections, so there are no hidden extras.
*Note: to fully comply with MIS3005, the backup heater should not be energised until the
minimum design temperature has been reached (e.g. -3°C).
