Exercising faith in Jesus moves the
hands of God to perform miracles. In an
atmosphere of faith, many who believed
were saved, touched and healed.
Toh Poh Kuan was happy to glorify God
for three healings. Last year, due to an
accident, a surgery was carried out on her
face and hand. Through prayer, she was
totally healed within three months and
there was not even a scar on her face. Next,
she stood in proxy to pray for her mother
who had a fall. Her 71-year-old mother
injured her wrist and went for an operation.
Poh Kuan was concerned that because
of her mother’s age, recovery would be
difficult and slow. However, with prayer
she recovered well and suffered no side
effects or pain in her wrist. Thirdly, Poh
Kuan prayed at the Miracle Service for her
brother who was diagnosed with cancer of
the intestine. He underwent chemotherapy
after surgery. God answered her proxy
prayer again. Having gone for only one
session of chemotherapy, her brother was
told by his doctor that he did not require
any further treatment as the cancer had
amazingly cleared. Glory to God!
Two weeks ago, Stacy Teo suffered a sharp
pain in her left hip. Each time she sat down
and stood up, it would trigger much pain.
She had been coming to the Miracle Service
and hearing the powerful Word of God since
September last year. She learned that when
in pain or in any condition, she needs only
to believe and call upon the Name of Jesus.
And because she was on an overseas trip
last Saturday, she decided to do just
that when the sharp
pain triggered. Miraculously, all the pain
was lifted in Jesus’ Name! Hallelujah!
After her chemotherapy, Lee Soo Kee
experienced side effects that caused both
her legs to weaken. She was unable to
walk normally and had difficulty climbing
up and down the stairs. However, during
the healing prayer at the last Miracle
Service, she felt the toes of both her feet
move involuntarily. She did not think
too much of it but after the service, she
discovered that strength had returned
to her legs. She was able to rise up and
walk with no hassle. She was also able
to climb up and down the bus easily on
the way home. Truly, God healed her
supernaturally that night!
A week ago, Madalene Lim suffered
excruciating pain in her tailbone. The same
pain would trigger whenever she stood up
from a sitting position. She attended the
Miracle Service, believing God to touch
and heal her. Tonight, she testified that
after prayer, she was 80% healed of the
excruciating pain. Then she acted out
her healing by sitting down and getting
up again. This time the pain subsided
tremendously. She believes that God would
heal her completely.
For more than a year, Derrick Lee
experienced pain in his left wrist. So he
decided to put his faith into action. He
began to pray for healing and at the same
time did a wrist exercise which Pastor
Rony shared about. Amazingly, the pain
that bothered him had vanished for good!
For more than a year, Yang Sio Mei
suffered pain in her back. A corrective
operation was suggested by her doctor.
She had been coming forward during the
bone alignment prayer in the past few
months. Tonight, she was delighted to
testify that since last week, the pain in her
back had left her totally! Hallelujah!

ANOTHER
DANGEROUS
ATTEMPT
All of the women left Ecuador except
Elizabeth Elliot and her six-year-old
daughter. Bravely, they walked into the jungle
to that same tribe which killed the five men.
It was Elizabeth’s hour of destiny. Something
compelled her forward to carry the precious
Gospel to the same people who killed her
husband. That had to be the divine love of
God. As she tightly held her daughter’s hand
and walked into danger, was she praying the
words of Esther, “Lord, if I perish, I perish.”?
This time, the natives warmly welcomed and
accepted Elizabeth and her daughter. They
gladly received the Gospel. In gratitude, they
even built a house for them. Elizabeth then
worked at getting their language on writing.
Soon the whole tribe came to the Lord.
THE FULL STORY
At that time, two questions remained
unanswered. One, why didn’t the natives
decapitate the heads of the bodies as was
their habit? The bodies were not mutilated
at all. Two, why did they accept Elizabeth
and her daughter so readily?
Recently, a fuller perspective of this
entire episode came to light. Olive
Flemming, one of the widows, returned
to the scene of the martyrdom and
spoke to a native woman who was
a witness to the killings.
Olive Flemming asked her, “Why didn’t your
men cut off the heads of the five dead men
as was your custom?”
To that the woman replied, “Because of the
shining ones.”
“What shining ones?” Olive was intrigued.
The explanation was, “As soon as the five
men were speared, the Heavens opened and
the shining ones came down. Our men were
frightened and fled. Then we realized we had
killed good God-men.”
They saw angels at the point of martyrdom.
No doubt, angels came to minister to the five
young missionaries. And the blood of these
martyrs is the seed of the church.
That’s also the reason why they received
Elizabeth and her little girl gladly. They were
given another chance to hear what the Godmen
had come to teach them, so all of them
gladly received not only the Elliots but also
Jesus Christ. The whole tribe was converted.
With passing time and patience and trust in
God, we now see a more complete tapestry
of God in this seemingly hopeless tragedy.
A missionary call then went out to God’s
people to go to the harvest field. Normally,
only a trickle of enquiries would result. This
time, hundreds responded positively.
