Cioffi returns for his second season with the Mount.<br />
He played in 19 games last season, averaging about<br />
7 ½ minutes per game, and is looking for a breakout<br />
season in his senior year this winter. Cioffi is a fearless shooter,<br />
who is extremely effective behind the three-point line, after hitting<br />
11-of-22 long-range shots last season. He is working hard to finetune<br />
other aspects of his game to insure more consistent playing<br />
time at the guard position, according to Coach Cox. Chris is the<br />
son of Patricia and Ronald Cioffi.<br />

4 Mitchell Goldschmidt<br />

Goldschmidt returns for his second season with the<br />
Mount. He played in all 25 games last season and<br />
was a starter in 19 games, finishing third on the<br />
team in points per game fourth in rebounds and fourth in assists in<br />
2007-08. Goldschmidt was the Mount’s top three-point threat last<br />
season, converting on 40 percent of three-point attempts (56-for-<br />
141). He was an Honorable Mention All-HCAC selection last<br />
season, and was second on the team in steals, and third in scoring<br />
average and free throw percentage. Goldschmidt is looking for an<br />
even greater finish to his career. He is an explosive scorer, who can<br />
score inside and out, and has worked hard to round out his allaround<br />
game. Goldschmidt will be a Mount team captain this season<br />
and will be expected to provide consistency on and off the court and<br />
help the team to a successful season. Mitchell is the son of Shirley<br />
and Don Goldschmidt.<br />

5 Travis Huffman<br />
Guard • Junior<br />
Major: Biology<br />
Height: 6-0<br />
High School: Conner (Hebron, KY)<br />
Huffman returns for his third season with the<br />
Mount. He played in all 25 games last season,<br />
including six starts and improved his statistics in<br />
every offensive category last season. Huffman had a solid all-around<br />
season in 2007-08, averaging nearly eight points per game, converting<br />
on 49 percent from the field and 51 percent (21-of-41) from<br />
behind the three-point arc. Offensively he continued to show he<br />
can shoot well as well as have the ability to attack the basket off the<br />
dribble. Huffman defensively showed good court awareness and<br />
understanding of team concepts. The <strong>Lions</strong>’ team leader is a fiery<br />
competitor, and will be a captain this season. Huffman looks to<br />
further round out his skills and be a major contributor for the <strong>Lions</strong><br />
in <strong>2008</strong>-09. Travis is the son of Wendy and Vernon Huffman.<br />
