A summary <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> actual (to date) and expected activities and outputs from <strong>the</strong> CCP<br />

is reported <strong>in</strong> Tables 4 and 5.<br />

1. Selection <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 16 <strong>GRDC</strong> sponsored <strong>Climate</strong> Champion participants.<br />

2. Management <strong>of</strong> national network <strong>of</strong> <strong>Climate</strong> Champion participants <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g<br />

f<strong>in</strong>ancial payments to <strong>the</strong>m.<br />

3. Econnect Communication personnel visited <strong>the</strong> farm <strong>of</strong> each CCP participant.<br />

4. Interviews were held with each and footages and photographs <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir farm<strong>in</strong>g<br />

systems and farm practices were taken. The associated <strong>in</strong>formation on each<br />

participant was used for media purposes and for case studies on <strong>the</strong> climate<br />

5. Regional workshops with <strong>the</strong> participants were conducted by Econnect to<br />

assist <strong>the</strong> participants with presentation and media skills.<br />

6. <strong>An</strong> onl<strong>in</strong>e social network<strong>in</strong>g site was developed for <strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> participants.<br />

7. Econnect personnel have cont<strong>in</strong>ually communicated with <strong>the</strong> participants to<br />

monitor <strong>the</strong>ir activities and give assistance with presentations and media<br />

work.<br />

8. Econnect created and ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong>ed strategic l<strong>in</strong>ks with <strong>in</strong>dustry experts and<br />

government departments’ staff and m<strong>in</strong>isters.<br />

9. Econnect produced banners and posters to promote <strong>the</strong> <strong>Climate</strong> Champion<br />

Program.<br />
