TOURIST VISA INFORMATION
Thank you for your inquiry. For application of tourist visa, you need the following documents and details:
1. Original passport (no copy!) still valid for 6 months at least
2. Two Application Forms for Tourist Visa
3. Two passport photos: Please glue (no clip, no staple) yourself one on each of the two forms
4. Visa fee of 25 Euro. Pay in advance by bank transfer (see bank details at the end of the page) or
cash.
5. Self-addressed return envelope with German stamps for registered letter. For international return
mailings, enclose a postage fee in cash of 10 Euro at least. International coupons for postage fee
and Austrian Euro stamps are not accepted.
Tourist Visa may be obtained from any Myanmar Mission abroad. After issue, it is immediately valid for 3
months to entry to Myanmar once during this time (entry visa). From day of entry, visa permits a maximum
stay of 28 days. Children under the age of 7 do not need visa if they are registered in one of the parent’s
passport. Please consider that a bank transfer from abroad can sometimes take up to 10 days so that issuing
may delay. A refund of visa fee after issue is not possible. Visa is only issued on original passport. Please apply
in English and mention your occupation/profession (or retired). If you are a member of a package tour group, you
have to apply for the issuance of package tour visa and include a confirmation letter issued by the registered
Myanmar tour company (please request information from your travel agency). For the moment, visa processing is
lasting 2 to 3 weeks.

TOURISTENVISUMS
Vielen Dank für Ihre Anfrage. Wir benötigen die folgenden Unterlagen:
1. Reisepass (keine Photokopie!) mit mindestens 6 Monaten Gültigkeit
2. Zwei Antragsformulare für Touristenvisum (Application Form for Tourist Visa)
3. Zwei Passfotos: Kleben Sie bitte jeweils ein Foto auf ein der Formulare (bitte keine Klammern!)
4. Visumgebühr 25 Euro
Zahlen Sie die Visumgebühren im Voraus per Banküberweisung (siehe unten Bankverbindung) oder
in bar.
5. Ein frankierter (nur deutsche Briefmarken!) und fertig adressierter Einschreiben-Rückumschlag. Für
Sendungen aus ausserhalb Deutschland müssen Sie eine Postgebühr von mindestens 10 Euro bar
beilegen.
Internationale Antwortscheine und österreichische Briefmarken werden von der deutschen
Post nicht akzeptiert!.
Das Visum ist ein Einreisevisum und ab Ausstellungsdatum drei Monate gültig. Innerhalb dieser Zeit können Sie
einmal einreisen. Vom Tag Ihrer Einreise erlaubt es Ihnen einen Aufenthalt in Myanmar von 4 Wochen (28 Tage).
Kinder unter 7 Jahren brauchen kein Visum, allerdings nur wenn sie im Pass einer der Eltern eingetragen sind.
Bitte beantragen Sie Ihr Visum rechtzeitig. Bearbeitung und Postweg können manchmal einige Wochen in
Anspruch nehmen. Vor allem Überweisungen aus dem Ausland benötigen längere Zeit. Eine Rückerstattung der
Gebühren nach der Visumbearbeitung is nicht mehr möglich. Wenn Sie Teilnehmer einer Pauschalreise
(Package Tour) sind, benötigen Sie dazu einen Bestätigungsbrief (Kopie) des im Myanmar registrierten
Veranstalters. Wir bitten, die Formulare vollständig in Englisch auszufüllen. Die Visumbearbeitung dauert
momentan zwei bis drei Wochen.
