Bundle Of Joy
Beat the trend and work with a
successful, international company,
with a £36 million turnover in the
UK, $2.5 billion worldwide, and a
25% growth over the
last two years.
Every mother wants only the
best for their child, especially
first time mothers. Organising
everything for your new
arrival can be a stressful time:
ensuring you have the highest
quality, safest and most
practical products can take a
lot of time. But by organising
your time effectively, your
pregnancy and child’s early
months will run smoothly.
Vital products for your child include
nappies, a cot, a mosses basket,
feeding bottles, bibs, clothes and
finally, blankets to not only keep your
newborn warm, but to comfort them as
they adjust to life outside the womb.
During your pregnancy, it’s vital to
take care of yourself, so eat a healthy
diet, aiming for five portions of fruit
and veg, as well as a range of dairy
products, dark green leafy veg, beans,
pulses and wholegrain cereals for
their zinc, b vitamins, folic acid and
calcium. However, don’t eat for two
– it’s a common mistake to consume
more than you need to because you’re
pregnant, but you actually only need
an extra 300 calories maximum during
your third trimester (after week 24).
If you find yourself stressed during your
pregnancy or if you find symptoms of
existing conditions worsen (such as
asthma, hay fever or eczema), Aspire
would like to recommend a trip to
The Salt Cave in Old Stratford. The Salt
Cave is a complimentary and drug
free clinic offering salt treatments in
a relaxing and tranquil environment.
The Salt Cave has two treatment rooms
where the healing microclimates of salt
mines are reproduced. This treatment
involves resting on comfy loungers and
breathing in natural salty air. Dry salt
particles help to alleviate the symptoms
of asthma, as well as other respiratory
conditions such as hay fever, COPD,
bronchitis, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis
and sinusitis. Salt therapy also detoxes
the body and rebalances the body’s pH
levels, a great healer for skin conditions
like eczema and psoriasis. It is a natural
and safe treatment that is suitable for
all, including babies from six-monthsold
and pregnant women.
Twenty first century mums have
numerous extra pressures to deal with
than our own parents did; most notably
obesity. Studies show that over the past
100 years children have become less
active. Families are smaller, meaning
children have fewer playmates at home,
and at school. Also, increasing numbers
of children are now driven everywhere,
even to school, meaning they do less
walking.
Motivating your kids to be more active
is easier than you think; even the most
stubborn children can get active by
just incorporating physical activity into
everyday life. For example, kids can do
30 minutes of walking, 10 minutes of
bike riding and 20 minutes of active
play, such as trampolining – all of which
easily makes up the recommended 60
minutes a day. All types of activities
count toward this 60-minute total,
including team sports, dance or martial
arts classes, biking, running, swimming,
walking, and even ‘active tasks’, such as
washing the car or hoovering.
A great way to get children active from
an early age, swimming is a fantastic
form of exercise. Why take your baby
swimming? Really the question should
be why not take your baby swimming?
Swimming is fantastic activity for you
and your little one to do together and
you can start almost from birth! From
just a few weeks old, your baby can be
on the road to a healthy active lifestyle,
developing confidence and life-saving
skills all while spending precious quality
time with mum or dad.
Swimming is an incredibly effective way
to help your baby develop. As well as
exercising all the parts of their body in
the warm water, swimming will help
develop their balance, coordination
and motor skills, as well as regulating
and improving their eating and
sleeping patterns. It’s great for mental
development too!
