NEW STUDENT APPLICATION 

DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS 

This document was developed to help parents better understand the student application 

documentation requirements needed based on the policy of Wellspring and the Lebanese 

Ministry of Education. We will address the following situations and we hope that you find 

this information useful: 

1) Students applying to transfer from a school inside Lebanon (G1-‐12) 

2) Students applying from outside of Lebanon (G1-‐12) 

3) Students asking for an Equivalence with the Lebanese Program 

4) Students asking to obtain an exemption from the Lebanese Curriculum 

(Brevet/Baccalaureate official exams)

1) Students applying to transfer from a school inside Lebanon G1 -‐12: 

Student Nationality Documents Needed 

Lebanese only • Completed Application Form 

• Student Writing Sample for Grade 5 and above 

• Final Report Card for the last 2 school years completed 

• Certified letter from the previous school stating dates attended and 

grade levels completed. This letter should be stamped by the 

school and the Ministry of Education for students applying for 

Grade 2 and up. 

• 2 Student Reference Forms (Grade 1 -‐12) 

• Health Record and Health Supplement Form 

• Vaccination Record (required by Ministry of Health) 

• Copy of Lebanese National ID Card or Passport 

• 2 Passport size photos 

Dual Nationals -‐ 

Holding a Lebanese and 

a Foreign passport:

3) Equivalence with the Lebanese Program: 

*Applicable for Lebanese students OR dual nationals, currently studying abroad and applying for 

acceptance to Grades 7-‐12: 

-‐If Applying from Abroad, 3 years completed abroad are required. 

*The requirements listed below are for Lebanese students registering for the Lebanese program.

• The Final Report card and a Certified Letter from the last school 

attended should be stamped from a) the current school, b) the 

Ministry of Education in the country of residence, c) the Lebanese 

Embassy or Consulate in the country of residence, and d) Ministry 

of Foreign Affairs from the country of residence. 

• These documents should be submitted to Wellspring with the 

application. After review, parents will take the documents to the 

Lebanese Ministry of Education for a final stamp.

Foreigners 

(Non-‐Lebanese) 


Not Applicable to Foreign Students 

Note: The Lebanese Ministry of Education is located in the UNESCO Building in the Verdun area of Beirut. 

4) Exemption from the Lebanese Curriculum (Brevet/Baccalaureate official exams): 

*Applicable to: Students with dual nationality (Lebanese and Foreign), Foreign students, and 

Lebanese nationals who have studied abroad for more than 3 years. 


Lebanese students who have 

studied abroad for at least 3 

years between Grades 1& 6 


Applying to G4: Need report cards for G1-‐G2-‐G3 





Applying to G9:Need report cards for G6-‐G7-‐G8 

If coming directly from abroad, letter from current school of last Grade 

level completed stamped/verified from the country of residence

and a copy of the Foreign (non-‐Lebanese) passport of the student and 

foreign passport of the parent.

NOTE:

2) If a student wants to apply for an Exemption from the Lebanese Curriculum (Brevet /Baccalaureate official 

exams), that student or his/her parents must visit the UNESCO BUILDING -‐ Verdun, 3 rd Floor, in Beirut to 

submit the documents needed (see exemption section) to gain the exemption. 

3) Documents must be submitted in a plastic sleeve with official Lebanese stamps as follows: 

a. Three stamps Valued at LL 10,000 each = LL 30, 000 

b. One stamp Valued at LL 5,000 

4) An official copy of all completed and stamped Exemption letters must also be kept on file at Wellspring.
