(ARCHIVES) <strong>Georgia</strong> Archives: The mission of the <strong>Georgia</strong> Archives is to identify,<br />

select, preserve, and make accessible records that constitute <strong>Georgia</strong>'s<br />

recorded history; to increase the efficiency of State Government through<br />

effective records management; and to improve the quality of records and<br />

archives management throughout the state. The <strong>Georgia</strong> Archives supports the<br />

Secretary of State's vision to become the most customer-friendly agency in state<br />

government. The agency strives to provide innovative, efficient, accurate, and<br />

professional service to the citizens of <strong>Georgia</strong>. The <strong>Georgia</strong> Archives is<br />

committed to providing assistance to the citizens of <strong>Georgia</strong> during<br />

preparedness, response, and recovery operations, specifically in the case that<br />

essential government records, historical and cultural collections, or personal<br />

family treasures are damaged by a disaster.<br />

(AUDITS) <strong>Georgia</strong> Department of Audits and Accounts: The mission of the<br />

Department of Audits and Accounts is to provide decision-makers with credible<br />

management information to promote improvements in accountability and<br />

stewardship in state and local government.<br />

(BOR) University System of <strong>Georgia</strong> - Board of Regents: The mission of the<br />

University System of <strong>Georgia</strong> is to contribute to the educational, cultural,<br />

economic, and social advancement of <strong>Georgia</strong> by providing excellent<br />

undergraduate general education and first-rate programs leading to associate,<br />

baccalaureate, masters, professional, and doctorate degrees; by pursuing<br />

leading-edge basic and applied research, scholarly inquiry, and creative<br />

endeavors; and by bringing these intellectual resources, and those of the public<br />

libraries, to bear on the economic development of the State and the continuing<br />

education of its citizens.<br />

(CJCC) Criminal Justice Coordinating Council: The CJCC conducts planning,<br />

research and evaluation activities to improve criminal justice system operations<br />

and coordination. It operates <strong>Georgia</strong>’s Crime Victims Compensation Program<br />

which utilizes federal funds and fee and fine proceeds to provide financial<br />

assistance to victims of violent crime.<br />

(DBHDD) <strong>Georgia</strong> Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities:<br />

DBHDD provides treatment and support services to people with mental illnesses<br />

and addictive diseases, and support to people with mental retardation and<br />
