Amanda Osburne<br />

Amanda Osburne is in her second year as<br />

Director of Internal Operations at the South<br />

Atlantic Conference.<br />

Osburne’s responsibilities<br />

include<br />

maintaining and monitoring the day-to-day<br />

business operations of the conference, in<br />

and assisting with championship operations and compliance.<br />

She is also the on-site administrator of the SAC Tennis Championship.<br />

Osburne came to the SAC after<br />

earning a Master of Human and Environmental<br />

Science in Sport Management from the University of Alabama.<br />

While at Alabama,<br />

she worked in Athletic Student Services, where she ensured student-athletes at-<br />

tended class, helped with tutoring and assisted the athletes with developing goals.<br />

She also volunteered with media relations for<br />

the 2010 BBVA<br />

Compass Bowl.<br />

Osburne graduated with her bachelor’s degree in commerce and business<br />

administration -- also from the University of Alabama. She worked as a teaching<br />

assistant in the business school during her undergraduate years.<br />

In the summer of 2009, Osburne was an intern for the Director of Marketing<br />

of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs minor league hockey franchise. In the winter<br />

of 2009, she served as an intern for the team’s General Manager.<br />

Osburne is originally from Shreveport, La., and currently resides in Rock Hill.<br />

Eric Wieberg is<br />

in his second year as<br />

Director of Strategic<br />

Communications<br />

at the South Atlantic<br />

Conference. He is<br />

responsible for managing all public and<br />

media relations, digital and social media,<br />

championship<br />

media coordination, awards<br />

and publications<br />

for the SAC, along with<br />

strengthening the conference’s marketing strategies. He also serves as the liaison<br />

to the SAC Athletic Trainers Committee, and is the on-site administrator for the SAC<br />

<strong>Baseball</strong> Championship.<br />

He performed a variety of duties associated with planning and operating the 2010<br />

and 2011 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championships, with a primary focus<br />

on media coordination for the event’s 13 preliminary-round sites and the Final Four.<br />

In addition, Wieberg provided project management support for the 2011 Final Four<br />

community initiative, developed<br />

resources for the championship’s<br />

selection, seeding and bracketing process, and helped operate the NCAA’s mock<br />

selection<br />

programs. He also served on project teams<br />

for the NCAA Emerging<br />

Leaders Seminar and Final Four Career in Sports Forum.<br />

Prior to joining the NCAA staff, Wieberg earned his Master of Education degree<br />

in sport management from the University of Texas.<br />

Foundation -- UT’s athletic development arm – performing a variety of<br />

fundraising and event planning duties.<br />

Wieberg graduated in 2008 with his bachelor’s degree in business administration<br />

University of Kansas, where spent four years as a student assistant in<br />

coordinator for the 2007 Big 12 Tennis<br />

Championship and assisted the Big 12 at<br />

multiple football and basketball championships during his time at KU.<br />

student at Kansas, he also completed a summer internship at the<br />

National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) in Kansas City.<br />

Originally from Lawson, Mo., Wieberg resides in Rock Hill.<br />
