Any senior that meets the following guidelines will be exempt from his/her teacher-made exams this school year. This is a new LCPS policy. • An “A” class average and 3 or less excused absences • A “B” class average and 2 or less excused absences • A “C” class average and 1 or less excused absences If a senior has even one unexcused absence in a class, they will not qualify for exam exemption under this new policy. Absences are based on individual classes for qualification. If you have more absences than allowed, you will not be able to make up those absences to qualify.
• If a student fails a course with a final average between a 60 and a 69, he or she may be eligible for Credit Recovery the following semester. • If a student fails a course that is a prerequisite for a subsequent course, if space allows, the student will be registered to repeat the ENTIRE course before Credit Recovery is an option.
