For Solar Technologies<br />
Prospective engineers in the solar field need<br />
above all to build their practical knowledge<br />
in addition to their theoretical knowledge<br />
of technologies and applications. The goal<br />
of the Training Center is to demonstrate the<br />
functions of both individual elements as well<br />
as entire facilities for solar technologies,<br />
thus giving students a consistent practical<br />
reference in their instruction.<br />
The center is equipped with the most modern<br />
viewing and instructional material and enables<br />
students to work interactively with concrete<br />
applications. The following components<br />
are available in the center:<br />
Photovoltaic network and island facilities<br />
Solar cells made of different materials (amorphous<br />
and crystalline silicon, GaAs, CIS, etc.)<br />
The most modern measurement equipment<br />
for recording performance characteristics<br />
of solar cells, daylight simulator, functional<br />
models for solar thermal facilities.<br />
A variety of solar collector technologies<br />
(vacuum tubes and flat collectors)<br />
Rooftop construction for solar module<br />
installation.<br />
