For Solar Technologies
Prospective engineers in the solar field need
above all to build their practical knowledge
in addition to their theoretical knowledge
of technologies and applications. The goal
of the Training Center is to demonstrate the
functions of both individual elements as well
as entire facilities for solar technologies,
thus giving students a consistent practical
reference in their instruction.
The center is equipped with the most modern
viewing and instructional material and enables
students to work interactively with concrete
applications. The following components
are available in the center:
Photovoltaic network and island facilities
Solar cells made of different materials (amorphous
and crystalline silicon, GaAs, CIS, etc.)
The most modern measurement equipment
for recording performance characteristics
of solar cells, daylight simulator, functional
models for solar thermal facilities.
A variety of solar collector technologies
(vacuum tubes and flat collectors)
Rooftop construction for solar module
installation.
