• TRIZ deals with systematic product and process
development, an area fraught with complexity
and uncertainty, and a high degree
of risk. Coursework includes working with
universally applicable methods and models
to produce constructive solutions and ideas
for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness
of project, technology, and management
processes.
• The course Global Product Development
(GPD) is organized in cooperation with the
University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, USA, and
the Seoul National University in South Korea.
Participating students are assigned to multinational
teams that develop marketable and
environmentally friendly products. The topics
covered include conceptual design, product
engineering, and product manufacturing and
distribution.

• In Global Engineering Teams, students carry
out projects under high-pressure conditions,
proving that they are ready for the industrial
workplace. All collaboration within
the project will occur on a virtual level. The
solutions will be presented at a colloquium.
Students learn to solve problems in virtual
global teams and discover how to work in a
multidisciplinary intercultural community.
