Unit Location on Site / Condensing Unit Access Condensing Unit Access GEA Aircooled Condensing Units C-Range Ensure that the site is level and that it can support the weight of the equipment. Condensing Units must be located in an unobstructed position to ensure adequate air circulation through the cooling coils. Care must be taken to avoid "short circuit" air paths and re-circulation of air from one unit to another. Whenever possible position Condensing Units such that they are reasonably sheltered from strong winds and avoid prevailing winds blowing directly onto the fan(s). Units should be bolted down in case of high winds. Condensing Units should not be sited more than 15 m (50ft) above or 4 m (13ft) below the base of the air conditioning unit. Please note that ALL GEA Denco Condensing Units are supplied with a 5 psig holding charge of Nitrogen. Access space should be provided as detailed on the drawings below but allowing at least one metre free access. Condensing Unit Access Access is gained by means of a removable panel secured by two screws. The panel also contains the interlocked door isolator, which will have to be turned to the “OFF” position, before the panel can be removed. This panel is situated on the left-hand side of the unit (looking at the fan).
