M/WBE Requirements<br />
• Identifying M/WBE Partners<br />
– Use SBS directory to find M/WBEs in a specific field<br />
– Check out the Interested Subcontractor and Supplier List for this RFP<br />
– Network at this info session<br />
– <strong>NYCEDC</strong> can assist in identifying M/WBEs<br />
• Respondents will be required to meet the stated M/WBE goals or<br />
demonstrate good faith efforts<br />
• Waiver Requests<br />
– If the goals are too high, either because there aren’t enough M/WBEs<br />
who perform the required task or because there won’t be much<br />
subcontracting in the first place, you’re welcome to submit a Waiver<br />
Request<br />
– Waiver will be denied if there is ample opportunity for M/WBE<br />
subcontracting<br />
– Full waivers are rare<br />
