This Wildland Fire Equipment Catalog is the basic supply
publication for use by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), Bureau of
Land Management (BLM), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), U.S.
Fish & Wildlife Service (USF&WS), National Park Service
(NPS), and other Forest Service–sponsored participants in the
government-wide wildland firefighting effort.
This catalog, issued annually, contains descriptions and
ordering data for wildland fire protection equipment and
supplies managed by GSA. Each item is indexed alphabetically
by name and numerically by National Stock Number (NSN) and
National Fire Equipment System (NFES) number.
Your suggestions for improving this catalog are invited at all
times. Items will be deleted or added as needed, provided they
meet the criteria established by GSA, USFS and BLM.

Clearances
GSA has complied with all regulations governing the
purchase of items available from the Federal Prison
Industries, Inc., Federal Supply Schedule contractors,
NISH, National Industries for the Blind (NIB), and the
Government Printing Office (GPO). Ordering offices are
not required to obtain clearance on items available from
these sources when ordering directly from GSA.
Freight Charges
The cost of normal motor-carrier transportation to
consignees located in the United States (except certain
areas of Alaska) is included in the prices shown in this
catalog. Premium transportation (such as air freight,
emergency trip, or exclusive use of vehicle service) must
be paid by the requisitioner, and appropriate transportation
funds must be cited when placing the order.
Prices
Prices are on a Freight on Board (F.O.B.) destination basis
for surface transportation to consignees in the United
States. Special transportation payment policy is applied to
Alaskan shipments, depending on the ultimate destination.
Any requirements for premium transportation must be paid
by the ordering activity.
Note:The prices in the publication are established each
year as of April 1. In most cases, they remain in effect
through March 31 of the following year; however, from time
to time, it is necessary to make changes without notice.
This happens when new contract prices are significantly
higher or lower, in which case adjustments must be made.
