The new range of superbly designed Challenger rods incorporates a great
selection of specialist feeder and float designs, all at stunning prices!
Challenger rods are made from high modulus carbon, featuring full cork
handles and slim screw reel seats, the latter allowing secure reel positioning.
Added to this, each rod is fitted out with exclusive hard-wearing Fox ‘SLIK’
line guides and the special attention to detail even provides a small hook
retaining ring on the underside of each blank.

CHALLENGER 13ʼ MEDIUM FLOAT
The Challenger 13’ Medium Float is a
brilliant all-round match rod. It has a crisp,
responsive tip that integrates perfectly into a
progressive action, backed up with plenty of
reserve power in the butt for applying
extra leverage when playing big fish.
Equally at home on rivers, commercials and a
wealth of other venues, this rod can handle
surprisingly light 0.08mm hooklengths, while
also coping with much stronger hook lengths
up to 0.18mm. Couple this with recommended
3lb to 8lb reel lines, the ability to launch out
wagglers up to 16 grams, and it’s not difficult
to see why this versatile float rod can cope
with just about all eventualities!

CHALLENGER 12ʼ FLOAT
There are occasions when a slightly shorter
float rod can prove very useful for fishing
small streams, canals, drains and heavily
overgrown venues - or quite simply when
less casting distance is required.
The Challenger 12’ is a versatile performer with
a progressive action and its forgiving tip makes
it a dream to use. This perfectly balanced blank
is suitable for use with wagglers up to 8-gram
capacity and it’s equally at home with running
water floats like sticks and balsas. It combines
best with 2lb to 5lb reel lines and hook lengths
of 0.07mm to 0.14mm, which amply covers a
host of different applications.

mellower action than the Challenger Medium
Float, while still retaining a crisp tip section
that flows through into a progressive curve.
The Challenger 13’ Float is a versatile match
style rod that can deal with a wide range
of venues, including rivers, drains and
commercial waters. It ideally suits 2lb to 5lb
reel lines and 0.07mm to 0.14mm traces,
useful when adopting a refined approach
when targeting anything from silver fish -
right through to hard-fighting carp.
