Due to the collaboration and cooperation of the
education partners of Newfoundland and Labrador,
some 700 educators were able to avail of the expertise
of an international renowned expert at a reasonable
cost. Hopefully, the success of the Jensen
Conference will encourage even more collaboration
and cooperation in future so that other major conferences
can be organized for the benefit of educators.
If so, we can anticipate that both educators and their
students will benefit immeasurably.
During the Jensen Conference, an idea surfaced
encouraging delegates to support the Janeway
Children’s Hospital. As a result of simply placing a
basket at the front of the conference centre, participants
contributed $558.80. This generous donation
was made to Janine Kerrivan, Executive Director
of the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation,
on behalf of the Jensen Conference delegates. Ms.
Kerrigan was quite grateful for the Jensen Conference
delegates’ thoughtful initiative and support. Well
done colleagues!
