Establish a monthly coordination meeting for<br />

regional coordination issues to include<br />

decisionmakers (e.g., hospital chief executive<br />

<strong>of</strong>ficers [CEOs], parish representatives), designated<br />

regional coordinators for healthcare facilities, <strong>and</strong><br />

emergency planners.<br />

Provide availability <strong>of</strong> funding to establish full-time<br />

paid regional coordinator positions.<br />

Develop a master plan with details on how to<br />

coordinate energy, staffing, medical, etc.<br />

Establish regular coordination meetings at the State,<br />

regional, <strong>and</strong> local levels.<br />

Develop a working group <strong>and</strong> conduct regular<br />

meetings.<br />

Distribute updated plans throughout the region<br />

(conduct planning session to highlight<br />

roles/responsibilities within the plans).<br />

Provide information/ training throughout agencies<br />

on plans, especially for second teams.<br />

Educate decisionmakers, especially elected <strong>of</strong>ficials,<br />

on the contents <strong>of</strong> the plan.<br />

Ensure resources are not distributed without prior<br />

coordination.<br />
