In a former life, Marcia Altman was a fashion
designer and business owner here and in France.
She traveled dozens of times between New York
and Paris and developed a keen aesthetic for
artistry, design and trends in fashion. Upon
moving to the Hamptons, she sold her business
and became a REALTOR ® in 1988, and she
now uses real estate as an outlet for her creative
talents.
As a Senior Director and top producing broker at
Brown Harris Stevens, she displays an invaluable
inside knowledge of the industry and a creative
flair for marketing her exclusive listings. Marcia
represents some of the most spectacular properties
in the Hamptons, including the most prestigious
waterfront estate in the area. With reciprocal

Marcia’s husband, Barry Altman of Quality
Crafted Homes in Southampton, is a property
developer and builder and she has helped design
and outfit many homes with him. “Knowing

when inspecting potential purchases.
In addition, Marcia has developed a team of
reliable specialists, including attorneys, architects,
land surveyors, carpenters, electricians and

enjoying a home.

NYC, Plum TV’s Hampton Open Houses, Fox 5
News and News 12 Long Island. She is often
quoted in papers and magazines as a key
authority on market conditions in the Hamptons.

York Times in an article about using text
messaging to negotiate real estate deals.

visited almost 40 countries. “Travel gives me a
sense of the bigger picture,” Marcia says. “When
we travel, we look for beautiful, interesting places
around the world where there are architectural,
language and cultural treasures to discover. This
recharges me to return to the 24 hour a day nature
of the Hamptons real estate business.”
A full time resident of Quogue, Marcia has been
instrumental in many local charitable endeavors.
Marcia and Barry are “founding members” of the
Hampton Synagogue, and they created and produced
the “Love & Dreams” Tennis Tournament,
which raised significant funds for children’s
programs. She contributes to the Westhampton
Beach Performing Arts Center and is stamped in
perpetuity on its “Walk of Fame.”
