4. Robin said “the Spirit of God uses the Word of God to make us like the
Son of God.” Think of some areas where God has changed you, and you
have grown to become more like Christ. Read 2 Peter 3:18, and discuss
why growth is important as followers of Christ. Who do you know that
you could share how Christ has changed you?
5. In the last book of the Old Testament the prophet Malachi refers to
“the day of judgment.” Do you think there will be a day of judgment in the
future? If so, how does that affect your actions today? What next steps
can you take to model a way of love, obedience, and justice so others will
see God’s presence in you?
Key Memory Verse:
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives
generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
Reminder: Each time you memorize a verse, please add a leaf to
the memory tree in the lobby.
about hope, and how would your life change if you put what you learned into
practice? What things in life tend to cause you to lose hope? When do you feel
most passionate about your relationship with God?
3. Read Jeremiah 1:4-8. Why did Jeremiah resist God’s plan for him? Share an
4. In Isaiah 53 we see a powerful account of the weight of our sin and how Christ
has paid our penalties to set us free. Share with your group about a time when you
realized the weight of your sin and how much it means to understand "the Lord
has laid on him the iniquity of us all (v.6)."
