Youth Football on Lambeau Field For many years, the <strong>Packers</strong> have invited local youth football teams to run plays on the field during the <strong>Packers</strong> Family Night scrimmage, as well as during halftime of a preseason game, as they are cheered on by the thousands of fans in attendance. <strong>NFL</strong> Punt, Pass & Kick Competition Each year, the <strong>Packers</strong> host the annual Punt, Pass & Kick Competition prior to a game at Lambeau Field. Forty-one youngsters, ages 8-15, advanced from across the state for the opportunity to <strong>com</strong>pete for the title of <strong>Packers</strong> Punt, Pass & Kick Team Champion. Three participants scored high enough to place them in <strong>com</strong>petition at the Punt, Pass & Kick National Finals in Atlanta, and one took champion honors. <strong>NFL</strong> High School Player Development Camp Presented by the Wisconsin National Guard, the <strong>NFL</strong> High School Player Development (HSPD) Camp provides in<strong>com</strong>ing high school freshmen through seniors free training in character development and specific position football skills. In 2012, Wisconsin HSPD camps were held at three locations throughout the state. Thirty-six HSPD participants - 12 from each location - who displayed a <strong>com</strong>bination of hard work and sportsmanship were selected to an HSPD all-star team that <strong>com</strong>peted in the <strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> 7-on-7 Regional Passing Tournament. <strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> 7-on-7 Regional Passing Tournament In June, the <strong>Packers</strong> hosted their fourth annual 7-on-7 Regional Passing Tournament. Eight teams <strong>com</strong>peted in a passing tournament at the Don Hutson Center for the chance to advance to the <strong>NFL</strong> 7-on-7 National Tournament as representatives of the <strong>Packers</strong>. Watertown High School defeated <strong>Bay</strong> Port High School to win the tournament. <strong>NFL</strong> 7-on-7 National Passing Tournament The <strong>Packers</strong>, along with each of the other 31 <strong>NFL</strong> clubs, sent a team of high school athletes to represent them in the <strong>NFL</strong> 7-on-7 National Passing Tournament. The <strong>com</strong>petition was hosted by the Indianapolis Colts in July. The Watertown High School football team, the winners of the <strong>Packers</strong> Regional Passing Tournament, proudly represented the <strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> in the tournament. <strong>NFL</strong> High School Player Development Leadership Program In July, the <strong>Packers</strong> hosted their first annual <strong>NFL</strong> High School Player Development Leadership Program for 50 Wisconsin high school football athletes. The HSPD Leadership Program is a one-day event <strong>com</strong>prised of activities in three different areas – the classroom, the <strong>com</strong>munity and leadership, including intensive character development and life skills training. <strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> High School Football Coach of the Week Program Each week during the football season, the <strong>Packers</strong> honor a Wisconsin high school football coach who demonstrates outstanding leadership on and off the field. Each winner receives $2,000 to be used for the school’s football program. One coach, named the <strong>Packers</strong> High School Football Coach of the Year, is given a $3,000 donation for his football program and is recognized at Lambeau Field during one of the <strong>Packers</strong> final home games. USA Football State Forum The USA Football State Forum brings together youth football leaders from across the state of Wisconsin to discuss various topics impacting the sport. Wisconsin youth league <strong>com</strong>missioners gain insight on further strengthening player safety and best practices through USA Football’s Heads Up Football program, and have the opportunity to network with peers, USA Football representatives and <strong>NFL</strong> teams. USA Football Coaching School The <strong>Packers</strong> work with USA Football to host a coaching school with the goal of developing and sharpening the approach to youth football in the state. The curriculum, aimed at youth football levels, focuses on the strategies of the game, as well as the life lessons that young players learn from the game. The event features multiple classroom sessions as well as drill demonstrations. <strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> Youth Football Outreach Camps The <strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> Youth Football Outreach Camp is a <strong>com</strong>plimentary program that features educational benefits as well as recreational opportunities for second through fifth grade students. In 2012, the <strong>Packers</strong> held 34 camps at elementary schools throughout Wisconsin and provided 4,200 students the opportunity to test their football skills in various drills and obstacle courses.
