Youth Football on Lambeau Field<br />

For many years, the <strong>Packers</strong> have invited local youth<br />

football teams to run plays on the field during the <strong>Packers</strong><br />

Family Night scrimmage, as well as during halftime of a<br />

preseason game, as they are cheered on by the thousands<br />

of fans in attendance.<br />

<strong>NFL</strong> Punt, Pass & Kick Competition<br />

Each year, the <strong>Packers</strong> host the annual Punt, Pass & Kick<br />

Competition prior to a game at Lambeau Field. Forty-one<br />

youngsters, ages 8-15, advanced from across the state for the<br />

opportunity to <strong>com</strong>pete for the title of <strong>Packers</strong> Punt, Pass<br />

& Kick Team Champion. Three participants scored high<br />

enough to place them in <strong>com</strong>petition at the Punt,<br />

Pass & Kick National Finals in Atlanta, and one took<br />

champion honors.<br />

<strong>NFL</strong> High School Player Development Camp<br />

Presented by the Wisconsin National Guard, the <strong>NFL</strong><br />

High School Player Development (HSPD) Camp provides<br />

in<strong>com</strong>ing high school freshmen through seniors free<br />

training in character development and specific position<br />

football skills. In 2012, Wisconsin HSPD camps were held<br />

at three locations throughout the state. Thirty-six HSPD<br />

participants - 12 from each location - who displayed a<br />

<strong>com</strong>bination of hard work and sportsmanship were selected<br />

to an HSPD all-star team that <strong>com</strong>peted in the <strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong><br />

<strong>Packers</strong> 7-on-7 Regional Passing Tournament.<br />

<strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> 7-on-7<br />

Regional Passing Tournament<br />

In June, the <strong>Packers</strong> hosted their fourth annual 7-on-7<br />

Regional Passing Tournament. Eight teams <strong>com</strong>peted in<br />

a passing tournament at the Don Hutson Center for the<br />

chance to advance to the <strong>NFL</strong> 7-on-7 National Tournament<br />

as representatives of the <strong>Packers</strong>. Watertown High School<br />

defeated <strong>Bay</strong> Port High School to win the tournament.<br />

<strong>NFL</strong> 7-on-7 National Passing Tournament<br />

The <strong>Packers</strong>, along with each of the other 31 <strong>NFL</strong> clubs,<br />

sent a team of high school athletes to represent them<br />

in the <strong>NFL</strong> 7-on-7 National Passing Tournament. The<br />

<strong>com</strong>petition was hosted by the Indianapolis Colts in July.<br />

The Watertown High School football team, the winners<br />

of the <strong>Packers</strong> Regional Passing Tournament, proudly<br />

represented the <strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> in the tournament.<br />

<strong>NFL</strong> High School Player<br />

Development Leadership Program<br />

In July, the <strong>Packers</strong> hosted their first annual <strong>NFL</strong> High<br />

School Player Development Leadership Program for<br />

50 Wisconsin high school football athletes. The HSPD<br />

Leadership Program is a one-day event <strong>com</strong>prised of<br />

activities in three different areas – the classroom, the<br />

<strong>com</strong>munity and leadership, including intensive character<br />

development and life skills training.<br />

<strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> High School<br />

Football Coach of the Week Program<br />

Each week during the football season, the <strong>Packers</strong><br />

honor a Wisconsin high school football coach who<br />

demonstrates outstanding leadership on and off the field.<br />

Each winner receives $2,000 to be used for the school’s<br />

football program. One coach, named the <strong>Packers</strong> High<br />

School Football Coach of the Year, is given a $3,000<br />

donation for his football program and is recognized at<br />

Lambeau Field during one of the <strong>Packers</strong> final home games.<br />

USA Football State Forum<br />

The USA Football State Forum brings together youth<br />

football leaders from across the state of Wisconsin to discuss<br />

various topics impacting the sport. Wisconsin youth league<br />

<strong>com</strong>missioners gain insight on further strengthening player<br />

safety and best practices through USA Football’s Heads Up<br />

Football program, and have the opportunity to network<br />

with peers, USA Football representatives and <strong>NFL</strong> teams.<br />

USA Football Coaching School<br />

The <strong>Packers</strong> work with USA Football to host a coaching<br />

school with the goal of developing and sharpening the<br />

approach to youth football in the state. The curriculum,<br />

aimed at youth football levels, focuses on the strategies<br />

of the game, as well as the life lessons that young players<br />

learn from the game. The event features multiple classroom<br />

sessions as well as drill demonstrations.<br />

<strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> Youth Football Outreach Camps<br />

The <strong>Green</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Packers</strong> Youth Football Outreach Camp is a <strong>com</strong>plimentary program<br />

that features educational benefits as well as recreational opportunities for second<br />

through fifth grade students. In 2012, the <strong>Packers</strong> held 34 camps at elementary<br />

schools throughout Wisconsin and provided 4,200 students the opportunity<br />

to test their football skills in various drills and obstacle courses.
