NEWS
FROM THE GENERAL
MANAGER
Here we are in the height of season, and participation
levels, as expected, are at their highest levels. February saw
some wonderful events including my favorite, the Mixed
Member Guest. This is our opportunity to really show the
club off to your guests. This year, the weather could not
have been better, so everything else fell into place perfectly.
A big thank you to all that participated and to Mary Simpson who
helped coordinate the tournament, build participation, and select the
prizes.
Congratulations to the Blutstein’s, who as the big winners, “win” the
opportunity to help us next year.
Financially speaking, through the first quarter of our fiscal year, we are
$90,444 better than budget. Our cash position as of January 31st was
$2,207K (combined operating and capital) vs. $1,900K for the same
period in 2012.
At the February 25 th Board meeting, the following significant actions
took place:
The Board acknowledged the Nominating Committee for selecting
Gretchen Kundahl, Doris Medwin, and Tom Richardson as
candidates for the Board to be seated in March.
4 members were approved for (2) membership or (2) rental.
We have some wonderful events planned for March which are explained
throughout this newsletter, so make sure you read it cover to cover.
Our Real Estate/Parade of Homes on Sunday February 10th resulted in a
contract to purchase Norm Pelletier’s condo. Our next event is planned
for Sunday March 24th. If you’re interested in participating, please
contact Donna or Sue.
Please feel free to contact me on any issue you need help on, or any
suggestion you may have for improvement! I look forward to seeing you
around the community and club!
