— President’s Letter —
Greetings everyone
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for
voting me in as club President for 2006. It is an honor and I
will do my best for the club.
It looks like the club has a lot of events planned for the
year. Quite a few Road Runs, Car Shows, Brewery Tour, Golf
Outing and plenty of Autocross Events. Thanks to everyone
who will plan an event this year. Hope to see a large number
of members attend our clubs events. It sounds like they will
all be a good time.
I’m looking forward to a very active summer full of
Corvette Club events.
Happy New Year Everyone
NCCC Midwest Region has hosted the most sanctioned events of any region in 2005 w/156 events. Florida
Region was 2 nd with 146 events
Labor Day 2005, we donated 2 sanctions to the weekend, in July, so the proceeds went to the region. The
proceeds after expenses were $527.00. I am working on getting those sanctions for Labor Day 2006. This time
the club would get the proceeds. I would like to get the clubs approval to do this. Jeff Anderson made a motion
for approval. Dominic Pisciotta seconded the motion. Motion passed with no opposition.
Vice-Presidents Report: Gary Schiermeyer reported that he will be in charge of points for the club members and
to be sure to turn all points in to him.. Gary gave the floor to Jeff Anderson for a report on the Annual
Transition Meeting, the clubs first. The purpose of this meet is to help new officers take over their new duties
and familiarize them with the rules and by-laws.

Old Business: There will be a story about the Route 66 Corvette Club in the “Missourian” magazine. The
Christmas party was a huge success. The food was great. There was a heated discussion on whether the beef or
pork was better. Some bikers from BACA joined with us at the party from another room. There was no count on
the amount of toys collected. Karen Brooks offered a suggestion to keep next years Christmas party at the same
location and to start planning early. Chris Reitz suggested we set dates for next years’ spring and fall trash pick
up.
New Business: Noel Wilson made a motion to have Dave Podwojski become an honorary member of the Rt. 66
Corvette Club. Dave owns Vettes restaurant where our club has its annual car shows. Dave also supplies all of
the trophies for this event. Linda Eriksen seconded the motion. A discussion followed to make Dave an NCCC
member and to pay his dues. A motion was made and passed. A motion was made by Chris Reitz to donate
$500.00 to the Fish Food Pantry. After some discussion, the amount of money was changed to $1,000.00. Chris
also suggested that we check out a website called: www.willowsway.org. Noel Wilson suggested to the club
that we select a charity for our annual car show in June.
Announcements: Awards for Road Notes and a NCCC award were presented to Gary Wren. Trendt Francis and
Rik Thompson were also recognized for presenting articles in “Vette” magazine. Congratulations to Linda
Eriksen for being promoted to Lt. Colonel. (Way to go, Linda)
1 st Annual Transition Meeting for the Officers and Board of Directors
Officers and members in attendance:
Rik Thompson
Gary Schiermeyer
Tom Reitz
JoAnn Viviano
Randy Moore
Dale VanDeven
Charlie Miget
Jackie Miget
Noel Wilson
Jeff Anderson
Cathy Anderson
The purpose of the meeting is to accomplish the following:
1. Continuity and smooth transition from past officer to new officer.
• (Discussion was that the Board of Directors accepts the responsibility for not offering guidance
to new officers.)
2. New Officers- Familiarize themselves with By-laws and Roberts
Rules of Order.
• (Board of Directors requests a more formalized meeting structure. President to have a printed
agenda prepared prior to the meeting and to ask membership, prior to meeting start, if they
have anything to add to the agenda. Listing items chronologically to ease the process of taking
minutes, by Secretary, for the newsletter.)
3. Adherence to By-laws as described in the By-Laws and
Constitution. (To be discussed)
4. More Detailed minutes to be taken by the secretary.
• (A printed agenda will help.)

The following were concerns brought up by the Board of Directors.
• Concern about status as a “Not for Profit Organization” and following
State Guidelines.
o (Discussion was made concerning what we are allowed to do with club funds to stay within
state guidelines which we re-file each year.)
• Motions must be made for all expenditures, following guidelines from
“Roberts Rules of Order” and recorded.
• Exceptions would and could be approved by Board of
Directors.
Examples:
• T-shirts OctoberCross – How much?
• Awards-need to be approved tonight
• Christmas Party???
Item for discussion:
• Do we need to appoint new members of the Constitution/By-Laws
Committee? (2 years)
Remove Tim Adams (Non-Renewal)
• Note that the “New Points Year” starts November 1 st .
• Minor Housekeeping Items: Adherence to no smoking policy (in
the Meeting Room) before, during and after the meeting.
Discussion concerning the club Christmas party and approval of expenditure by members. In the past, the club
picked up only a portion of the expense.
A motion was made, seconded, discussed and agreed that “The Club” would pay for club members only.
Members, with guests will be expected to pay $25.00 per person to attend the party and since the arrangements
had already been made for the DJ, the club would pay for that as well. It was also discussed that the collection
of un-opened toys for the Toys-for-Tots would be done.
Discussion was made concerning the purchase of awards without approval of “The Club” during a regular
business meeting. It was decided that the preferred process would be for the awards to be discussed early
enough to effectively plan a budget for the awards. Awards that are to be presented at the December Club
Christmas party were already ordered.
A motion was made by Randy Moore to approve approximately $1200.00 for the awards to be purchased.
The motion was seconded by Noel Wilson.

Discussion of motion: Discussion about the validity of awards and the purpose of additional awards, started
prior to this year, was to increase club activity participation. Opinion was that it was not successful. In future,
budget issues are to be considered. The reason and purpose of additional awards are to be reviewed by “Club”
and voted upon. Certificates of Appreciation will be considered.
Approval to purchase awards was approved by majority board member/officers in attendance.
Gary Schiermeyer brought up the subject of an inventory of assets for items owned by the club. Also the turn
over of keys for the storage unit where the club stores all of its equipment.
Discussion was made regarding the clubs official charity, which is the National Kidney Foundation. It was
discussed that we should continue to support this charity unless the need to change was brought up at the club
meeting and approved by a simple majority vote. The idea that we should also support a local charity, like
F.I.S.H., was recommended.
Tom Reitz brought up the question of “When do new officers accept their positions?” The Constitution states in
Article VII, section 2, The elected officers shall be elected at the November business meeting and be installed at
a time and place designated by the Board of Directors.
A motion was made by Tom Reitz to install new officers at the December 3 rd , 2005 Club Christmas party.
The motion was seconded by Charlie Miget.
Discussion of motion: After future elections, Board of Directors will have to make a statement as to when the
new officers will be installed.
Motion was approved unanimously.
Discussion was made about importance of sign-up sheets at meeting and that an announcement should be made
prior to meeting close. The possibility of missing someone who may be working towards an award exists.
Jackie Miget brought up the point of signing waivers. Tom Reitz will bring a waiver for all to sign at the
Christmas party. Noel Wilson brought up the importance for a waiver at any event.
Tom Reitz brought up purpose and renewal of members of By-Laws Committee. Article XII, Section 2.
states… A Constitution/By-Laws Committee shall be appointed by the Board of Directors and shall serve for a
term of two years. The Board of Directors needs to re-assign and/or re-appoint a By-Laws committee for the
next two years.
A motion was made to review committee members, Patty Schroeder, Ron Reinhardt, Jeff Anderson, Charlie
Miget, Chris Reitz and Tim Adams. Noel Wilson requested that the purpose and duties of the committee be
reviewed with club members at a monthly club meeting.
Tom Reitz made a motion to re-instate current members of By-Laws Committee with exception of Tim Adams,
due to non-renewal of his club membership.
The motion was seconded by Gary Schiermeyer. No discussion. Passed unanimously.
Noel Wilson brought up subject of Charter Members and the need, as stated in the Constitution Article III,
section 1, paragraph C, that new members must be sponsored by a charter member. No changes to be made at
this meeting but the importance needs to be revisited at a future club meeting.
Noel Wilson brought up a past subject to all members… that while in the meeting room, our club meetings have
historically been Non-Smoking before, during and after the meeting. Please no smoking in the meeting room.
Charlie Miget discussed Honorary Membership and that this membership cannot be granted without a simple
majority vote of the club members at a club meeting.
Noel Wilson made a motion to make Dave (Owner of Vettes Restaurant) an Honorary Member.
Motion seconded by JoAnne Viviano.
Discussion of motion: NCCC forms to be completed and signed.

Noel Wilson amended his motion to bring up at club meeting for approval per constitution.
Charlie Miget made a general statement regarding member involvement and meetings. Expenditures and
changes in Club Constitution/By-Laws must be brought up and discussed at monthly meetings. Items will then
voted on for approval by members prior to them happening.
Noel Wilson stated the need for a Board of Directors meeting at the end of each term and to schedule a
Transition Meeting after the yearly election of new officers.
In general discussion, it was brought up that we need to schedule more events as a club. Road Runs, Winery
events, Bowling, Rallies, Golf Outings and other things to promote the club and the Corvette lifestyle.
Randy Moore made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Seconded by Dale VanDeven
No Discussion – Meeting Adjourned.
