A totally new range of ball valves from Georg<br />
Fischer, operated manually <strong>and</strong> automatically.<br />
The new manual ball valve type 546, equipped<br />
<strong>with</strong> the new electric actuator types EA ¢1 <strong>and</strong> EA<br />
2¢.<br />
The actuators, which are state-of-the-art <strong>in</strong> terms<br />
of technology, meet the specifications of automated<br />
pip<strong>in</strong>g systems of the future.<br />
The two automated ball valve versions, the type<br />
¢07 <strong>with</strong> the EA ¢1 actuator <strong>and</strong> the type ¢30 <strong>with</strong><br />
the EA 2¢ actuator, have been developed especially<br />
for applications <strong>with</strong> a variety of technical<br />
or process-oriented requirements.<br />
The 107 type series is for st<strong>and</strong>ard applications<br />
<strong>with</strong>out special requirements <strong>and</strong> the ¢30 version<br />
is a modular, exp<strong>and</strong>able ball valve for applications<br />
<strong>with</strong> special process requirements. The<br />
broad range of accessories, the flexibility, as well<br />
as the renowned Georg Fischer quality are the<br />
key features of this new family of ball valves.<br />
The possibility of putt<strong>in</strong>g together the exact type<br />
of valve required for the application from the<br />
wide selection of options <strong>in</strong> the configurator<br />

Mount<strong>in</strong>g plate<br />
With the mount<strong>in</strong>g plate of the 546 ball valve, forces which can occur dur<strong>in</strong>g valve<br />
operation are absorbed (e.g. breakaway torque). By us<strong>in</strong>g the mount<strong>in</strong>g plate, no<br />
opert<strong>in</strong>g forces are transferred to the pip<strong>in</strong>g system.<br />
In pip<strong>in</strong>g systems which are subject to temperature fluctuations, longitud<strong>in</strong>al or expansion<br />
forces can occur if thermal expansion is h<strong>in</strong>dered. So as not to impair the valve<br />
function, these forces must be absorbed by suitable fixed po<strong>in</strong>ts before or after the<br />
valve.<br />
The mount<strong>in</strong>g plate is available <strong>in</strong> two sizes for the dimension range DN 10 to DN<br />
50. Two screws each are supplied for fasten<strong>in</strong>g it to the ball valve.<br />
