“Cinderella” at the Palm<br />
Canyon Theatre<br />
The young and the young at heart have enjoyed the tale of a young<br />
woman forced to become a servant to her stepmother and stepsisters. She<br />
eventually overcomes adversity and wins the heart of the handsome prince<br />
with the help of her Fairy Godmother and a glass slipper.<br />
Kicking off Pride festivities,<br />
Greater Palm Springs Pride<br />
and the Palm Springs Canyon<br />
Theater raised the curtain<br />
to a bevy of beautiful female<br />
impersonators as they vied for<br />
the crown in this Broadway in<br />
Drag Pageant. The contestants<br />
were judged on evening gown,<br />
talent and swimsuit. Bella da<br />
Ball was emcee and hostess.<br />

Eakes, and Marina Mac.<br />

The writing team of Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote the musical<br />
“Cinderella” to be presented on television in 1957 with a young Julie<br />
Andrews starring in the title role. The score includes great songs such as<br />
“The Prince is Giving a Ball,” “In My Own Little Corner” and “Impossible/<br />
It’s Possible.”<br />
Performances of “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella” will be held Friday,<br />
<strong>December</strong> 5th through the Sunday the 21st.<br />
