The Palm Springs and Desert Communities Region
of Fashion Group International (FGI) held its 2014
Crystal Style Award Benefit Luncheon on Sunday,
November 16. The sold out luncheon, held poolside,
was attended by 100 guests at the beautiful estate
of Steve and Joelle Stanbridge in Palm Springs.
Fedor Rogovets (Fedor) was presented with FGI’s
prestigious Crystal Style Award for his outstanding
couture fashion designs. Fedor, a resident of Palm
Springs, has been designing his custom-made pieces
for women for over 15 years. Other prior winners
of FGI’s Crystal Style Award include such prominent
names in the fashion world as James Gallanos,
Lourdes Chavez, Trina Turk, and Perry Wolfman, and
many more.
The program included a fashion show by Fedor in
which he displayed many of his couture pieces as
well as his newly created ready-to-wear line. His
well received fashion show was preceded by the
incredible performance by the One And Many Voices
of singer/songwriter Jimmy James.
Guests included many of the Desert’s well known
philanthropists such as Helene Galen, Jean Carrus,
Sharon Gray, and Gayle Hodges. Also, from the
local fashion industry were Eloise Lapidus, Karen
Cantrell, Claudia Lua, Bobbi Eakes, and Kevin Hees.
All attendees praised the entire event including the
efforts of Tim Simanek, the catering manager of
Jensen’s who catered the event.

in the Uptown District of Palm Springs as well as the
Raymond Lawrence store at the Ritz Carlton Resort

FGI is a tax exempt, non profit organization
and one of its programs is to provide annual
scholarship assistance to local students pursuing
higher education in fashion/arts related fields. All
benefits for this event will be used to fund FGI’s
