Murals
Deb offers workshops and residencies in mosaic for all ability levels.
Whenever possible, curricular, community, environmental, or other
process issues are used to create mosaic designs. Workshops and
residencies ranging from 1 day to several months culminate in a
large-scale, participant-created mosaic.
Joe's programs in traditional woodworking, sculpture, puppetry,
mask making and architectural model making can be presented as
stand-alone workshops or multi-day residencies, and may be
combined with outdoor aboriginal skills-building. Students learn
valuable practical skills & creative problem solving, and build
confidence and self-esteem. Curricular connections include:
American history, world and Native American culture, science,
math, literature and more.
Anne specializes in group performance, masks, giant puppets,
sculptural paper mache, and kinetic sculpture or automata made
from recycled materials. Residencies may include group and
individual art projects with curriculum tie-ins to language arts,
math, and social studies. Students learn community-building
through teamwork, problem-solving, and performance.
Kristin designs mural programs that inspire participants to the
creative process. Participants learn how artwork and ideas can
positively influence others, and gain self-worth while bringing
beauty to their surroundings. Mural programs may include
journaling, discussion, critique, brainstorming, and self-reflection.
Murals can be formatted and designed to address specific Learning
Content Standards in collaboration with teacher and school goals.
Anne offers school and museum workshops and residencies tailored
to meet the goals of the presenting organization. A lesson plan can
be coordinated with a unit in social studies and/or language arts, as
well as exhibitions in museum settings. Emphasis is placed on the
art-making process as well as the end product. Pre-planning with
presenters is a must.

Magalis creates engaging, interactive spaces of exploration, play,
discovery and learning, through The Color of Words multi-modal
and modular workshops, and project-based and service learning
opportunities. Workshops encompass a multi-faceted approach to
digital media while integrating storytelling, creative writing and
dramatic arts.
Judith, a dance, visual, and expressive artist is expert in crafting a
space where people of all ages and abilities discover their creativity!
Workshops, residencies, and professional development engage
students, patients, and community members through mask, visual
arts, the written & spoken word, creative movement, and imagery.
Thomas provides hands-on, one-day to two-week residencies
relating photography to art, science, and history. He turns a
classroom into a giant camera obscura and instructs students as
they build their own pinhole cameras using simple materials, and
then load, shoot, and develop an image resulting in unique works of
art. Master classes and workshops are available for universities and
professional development.
Maureen offers programs in mask making, painting on fabric/tiles,
bookmaking, watercolor, and reproducing masterpieces from
museums. Workshops explore literary works through art, integrate
museum resources into a visual arts curriculum through visiting
exhibits/permanent collections, and build visual-thinking skills that
connect art content to academic context.
Mark provides workshops and residencies for learners of all ages in
visual arts. The residency focus may be process- or productoriented,
and may include traditional arts or electronic media.
Workshops and residencies provide strategies that encourage
creativity, meeting state and district standards through artsintegration
with other curricular disciplines.
Dana offers instruction in arts-based, multimedia technology.
Residencies include songwriting, Garage Band recording technology,
iMovie, Adobe Photoshop, digital photography, fine art, and creative
writing. Traveling with her own laptops, headphones, and digital
and video cameras, she sets up recording/design studios onsite.

Sculpture
Rosemary’s residencies include printmaking, weaving, organic
masks, and mobiles. She uses a variety of mixed media, placing
emphasis on the creative process, imagination, and emotion.
Rosemary inspires students and teachers alike to facilitate their
own extensions for future exploration and independent learning.
Sanna offers Author/Illustrator presentations, residencies, &
workshops in narrative writing, personal storytelling, illustration,
collage, poetry, or expository writing for students of all ages. She
collaborates with teachers to address Common Core goals, and
through active listening, critical thinking, predicting, imagining and
synthesizing, she models how she thinks as a writer and artist.
Susan offers workshops and residencies in visual arts and
expressive arts therapies. Her murals, mosaics, banner, and oil
drum projects focus on social themes such as the environment and
world peace. Residencies integrate language arts, music, social
studies, and physical education, and include community and
creativity skills building.
Anna provides workshops and residencies in architecture and design
(urban, interior, graphic, and industrial) for grades K-12. She uses
these disciplines as a real world problem-solving approach to
integrate math, science, and social studies learning in order to
create state standards-based Science Technology Engineering and
Math (STEM) lessons and foster students' sense of how their
community operates and how they can participate.
Roxanne offers arts integrated workshops and residencies in
printmaking, drawing, and mixed media. She links language arts,
science, and social studies with mark making, bookmaking, and
printmaking. She inspires the spirit of fearless art making with
critical thinking and self-assessment. Roxanne custom designs
projects for schools, libraries, art centers, and museums.
Beth is a veteran, energetic and talented teacher and sculptor who
has taught preschoolers and adults throughout <strong>Connecticut</strong> and
New York. Each residency is an active interchange of ideas,
knowledge and skills that represents the needs of the classroom
teachers, students, materials being used and the artistic skills and
knowledge acquired in creating art work. Beth various materials
that can be combined and/or adapted into sculptural form.

Dr. Tremblay teaches in-school residencies for grades K-12 that
integrate Art into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and
Math) curricula targeted to meet state and district standards.
Through multiple intelligences, he engages students with activities
that strongly relate STEM subjects to student interests in
computers, digital media, and the <strong>Arts</strong>. He also gives teacher
workshops and public workshops and lectures for all ages.
Christine is well-versed in many media, and some of her resident
artist projects include: 1) Glass tile murals depicting school and
community life, 2) A toy theater of “Your Carbon Footprint,” 3)
“Aliens” - individual multi-media creatures each indigenous to a
specific planet, and 4) A school’s main hall transformed into a minicity
entitled “Making A Difference.”
Linda teaches children ages 4-11 in schools, art centers, museums,
and homeless shelters how to use needle, thread, and fabric to
create a unique piece of art from their imagination. Each session is
one hour, and each piece of art can take from two to four sessions
to complete. The goal is to create a piece of art that can be related
to a specific unit of the curriculum, or as an art project, can be
created from the heart and imagination of the child.
