PADDOCK KING 5000L 5000 LITRE PADDOCK KING Sitting at the top of Silvan’s broadacre sprayer range is the 5000 litre Paddock King. Fitted with the latest technological innovations the Paddock King 5000 enables the serious broadacre farmer a superior spray management system for their crop. Furthermore, the spray rig is robust, yet simple to operate and maintain. It incorporates a large capacity 5000 litre tank for longer range spray control with a choice of rugged booms (24, 28 and 30 metres) that provide strength, stability and direct spray accuracy. Safety and efficiency have not been overlooked. The sprayer features include a 600 litre flush tank with a 15 litre inbuilt hand wash tank so there’s plenty of water on board for cleaning and rinsing. Like the main tank, the flush tank has a highly visible and easily read sight line. The Paddock King’s plumbing design incorporates a separate and fully hinged plumbing panel. In-cabin electric controls regulate the suction, agitation and rinsing functions. This allows quick and easy switching between the flush tank and main tank while on the go, while twin rinse nozzles in the main tank ensure thorough flushing - leaving no chemical residue. The operator’s platform is easy accessed with a fold down service ladder that provides safe dual access to a large, non-slip metal surface for safe footing. Overspray and missed patches are no longer a problem with the foam marker showing the perimeter of each spray run. The direct injection foam marker system has separate tanks for water and foam concentrate, so they can be mixed on the go, rather than prior to starting a job. The 5000 litre Paddock King sprayer is fitted with airbag suspension for a smooth ride. A part of Silvan’s single-axle/radial tyre design, the air suspension ensures the boom remains steady over undulating ground providing even spray coverage. An air gun linked to a compressor is also very useful for cleaning nozzles and components at the end of a job. Other features of the 5000 litre Paddock King sprayer include a hi-tech and easy to use automatic spray rate controller, mudguards and an optional hydraulically driven, self-priming Hypro centrifugal pump. Silvan’s airbag suspension system substantially improves the ride and handling of broadacre sprayers. The 5000L Paddock King features an easy to service hinged external control station with fill meter, bottom fill filter, suction filter and fresh water tap. Silvan’s broadacre electric control units use proportional pressure compensating valves designed to maintain constant pressure and output. They incorporate stainless steel internal components and viton seals.
2000, 3000, 4000 LITRE PADDOCK KING SERIES Farmers looking for a reliable sprayer with the latest innovations in spray safety and accuracy should look at the Paddock King series. The 2000, 3000 and 4000 litre models have slightly smaller pumps and flush tanks than the larger 5000 litre model, but do not compromise on quality or operator safety. With boom widths of 15, 18, 21, 24, 28 and 30 metres and Silvan’s robust hydraulic fold and lift design (wing tilt is optional), Paddock King sprayers make broadacre spraying safe and efficient. Underneath every Paddock King is a fully galvanised chassis with adjustable tow hitch, fold down ladder, wind-up jack and operator’s platform. There’s also a centrally located operator’s work station for convenient and safe access to all sprayer functions. Tanks are made of Silvan’s renowned UV-stabilised Polytuff polyethylene and come with a tank rinse nozzle, full agitation, tank drain valve, bottom fill outlet and chemical probe. A flushable sight gauge for the main tank makes reading liquid levels a breeze, as does an easy to see sight line on the foam marker water tank (the foam marker is a direct injection system with separate tanks for water and foam concentrate). The standard pump used is a PTO-driven diaphragm type, BP 125/20 on 2000-3000L sprayers and BP 151/20 on 4000L sprayers. There’s also a handy 14 litre fresh water tank for hand washing and clean up. Even the drain tap is designed so it is protected from accidental opening – an added safety feature to prevent accidental contamination. Standard boom features include parallelogram boom suspension with nitrogen accumulator for smooth, accurate operation, forward and back end breakaway system for added protection and fully protected nozzle holders on stainless steel spray lines with flush taps. A Silmix chemical transfer unit mounted on a drop down frame and automatic spray rate controllers also come standard. Chemductor Envirodrum handling facilities are optional for added safety when transferring liquid from drums with ‘Envirodrum’ fittings. Optional extras include load compensating airbag suspension (3000 & 4000L models) ensures a smooth ride and electric fence-line nozzle kit with electric solenoid operation. PADDOCK KING SERIES The control panel on the 2000, 3000 & 4000L range accommodates tank rinsing, boom flushing and calibrated fill meter for tank filling. A large, non-slip operator’s platform with fold down service ladder provides a convenient access point for easy maintenance and tank refills.
