The new engine generation supplies up to 15% more torque. A 3.2 to 4.3 l displacement together with 3 and 4 cylinders build the technological basis for this high performance and make these engines ideally suited for the new 200 range. Practical advantages: • Superb tractive power through up to 31% torque rise • Up to 6 HP extra power – for less shifting and reduced fuel consumption, because the extra power, which reduces fuel consumption and noise level, is already available at 2100 rpm. • Low running costs: oil change with constant use only required every 500 operating hours. Less shifting through maximum output The new turbos and integrated extra power of up to 9% allow you to master slopes and difficult areas. The increase in engine power allows you to drive in the same gear longer and to shift down later. Maximum output saves fuel Adapting your driving style to take advantage of the maximum output of 2100 rpm reduces fuel consumption considerably. The 209 model already has over 95 HP engine output available at 2100 rpm thanks to the 5 HP extra power. This allows you to save fuel during high output operations. High-quality injection technology for 15% more torque. In-line injection pumps provide injection pressure of up to 1000 bar. A new cylinder head with a steeper nozzle position and higher injection pressure together with turbo charging and increased capacity provides up to 15% more torque. The injection pump is connected to the engine’s lubrication oil circuit and is entirely maintenance-free. Quiet engine through welldesigned sound insulation The gear drive, pistons, valve cover and cooling air layout are designed to maintain a low noise level. That reduces noise, which allows the driver to work in the cab with open windows. More power The new turbocharged engines provide up to 15% more torque than their predecessors. Outstanding pulling power through up to 29% torque rise up to 1500 rpm. Up to 4% extra power A full 86 HP up to 2100 rpm saves on shifting where others have to shift down.
