4 STRATEGIC STRIDES The WSH Act now covers all workplaces. All workplaces have been covered under the WSH Act since September 2011. The WSH Council has rolled out exciting engagement events to raise WSH awareness and activate participation. Here are some of our recent initiatives!
STRATEGIC STRIDES 5 WSH Messenger Through skits, catchy beat box raps, guidebooks, and handy informational flyers, employers and employees can learn how the WSH Act affects them, and how they can play a part in ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for all. To invite the WSH Messengers to your workplace, call 6777 1672 or email wshmessenger@aux.com.sg WSH in the heartlands Heartlanders learnt about our recent WSH clinic held at Toa Payoh HDB Hub on 15 June 2011. The event kicked off with exciting performances by our WSH Messengers rapping beat-box style and the “Say NO to Risks at Work” skit. The audience then learnt more about common workplace hazards such as slips, trips, falls at work, being struck by objects and how they can be prevented through several talk-show segments. Our WSH partners from CCIS, Spot Management, GreenSafe and Concord Associates were also onsite to share invaluable insights and experiences with managing workplaces safety issues. The event was interspersed with interactive activities games for the audience and even a riveting belly dancing performance to round up the day! WSH Outreach and Promotion The new series of WSH outreach and promotion campaign focused on common workplace hazards and what employers and employees can do to prevent them. These WSH messages appeared at MRT platform screen doors, street lamp banners and buses. Download these posters for your workplace at www.wshc.sg
