When <strong>the</strong>re’s a will<br />
<strong>the</strong>re’s a way<br />
A gift to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Fe</strong> <strong>Animal</strong> <strong>Shelter</strong> through your<br />
will or living trust is a powerful statement of your<br />
support for our mission: to reunite people with<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir lost animal companions; find homes for those<br />
animals who are ab<strong>and</strong>oned, neglected or injured,<br />
support humane education; <strong>and</strong> reduce animal<br />
suffering through low-cost spaying <strong>and</strong> neutering<br />
programs. It may also provide a reduction in your<br />
taxable estate.<br />
The most common planned gift is a bequest<br />
through your will or living trust. You can arrange<br />
a gift of a specific amount, a percentage of your<br />
estate, or even all or part of <strong>the</strong> residuary of your<br />
estate. If you would like to make such a gift to <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Fe</strong> <strong>Animal</strong> <strong>Shelter</strong>, your attorney may wish to<br />
include language similar to <strong>the</strong> following:<br />
“I give, devise, <strong>and</strong> bequeath to <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Fe</strong> <strong>Animal</strong><br />
<strong>Shelter</strong> & <strong>Humane</strong> <strong>Society</strong> now or formally at<br />
100 Caja del Rio Rd., <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Fe</strong>, NM 87507, (dollar<br />
amount or __ percent of <strong>the</strong> rest, residue, <strong>and</strong><br />
remainder of my estate), to be used for its general<br />
purposes.”<br />
By offering all or a part of your legacy to <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Fe</strong> <strong>Animal</strong> <strong>Shelter</strong>, you will assure a solid<br />
future for all <strong>the</strong> animals of Nor<strong>the</strong>rn New Mexico.<br />
