The Crown & Horns Refurbishments
Many of you will have seen the builders and interior designers move into the Crown & Horns and started work on
the refurbishments.
Punch Taverns, which owns the Crown and Horns have provided me with the following statement on their plans
to greatly improve the image of pub :
“The Crown and Horns closed on Tuesday 28 th August and will remain closed for 12
weeks whilst major refurbishment work is carried out.
A joint investment of £500,000 will give the pub a new lease of life, with full internal and
external decoration throughout. The pub will be updated with new furniture and fittings
whilst retaining the traditional character and charm of the 17 th century coaching house.
The letting rooms will also be given a makeover, each with an individual, bespoke
theme using pictures from the local area.
We intend to reposition the pub as a destination for premium good quality food and
drink.
There will also be a new licensee at the pub who is an exceptional operator.”
