East Ilsley We Need your Email Address
We are hoping to improve overall communication about all sorts of subjects the Parish Council
becomes involved with. Including such things as, the dates of PC meetings, minutes of meetings, the
effects of the new localism bill (including the creation of a village design statement), planning
applications, police updates, social activities, volunteers needed etc.
While statutory issues are always on the notice board, not everyone gets the chance to stop and read
it, or check the village website. So we are hoping to create a “Village” email list that we can send
relevant information to, dates of meetings etc.
So if you would like to be kept informed drop your email address to the Parish Clerk
eastilsleypc@gmail.com in the subject line put VILLAGE EMAIL LIST.
We will then keep you on the list until you let us know you no longer want to receive updates, simply
email the clerk asking to be removed. The more people who sign up the easier it will be to be kept
informed so do please join up - your village needs you!
The Ilsleys Primary school has a vacancy for a Community Governor.
Community governors are appointed by the governing body to represent community interests. They
can be individuals who
• live or work in the community served by the school
• are committed to the good governance and success of the school even though they do not
work or live close to it.
The definition of community governor is wide. People from a business or professional background
and minor authority representatives can be appointed as community governors.
If anyone would like more information on becoming a school governor and making a real contribution
to our fantastic village school then feel free to contact either myself, Rich Fielding (Chair)
richfielding@gmx.com or the Headteacher Kate House headteacher@ilsleys.w-berks.sch.uk or finally
