FCC Compliance Statement for Use Within the United States<br />
The Mindset <strong>MS</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> generates and uses radio frequency energy and may cause interference to radio<br />
and television reception. It has been type tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B<br />
computing device in accordance with the specifications for Subpart J of Part 15 of the FCC rules. These<br />
specifications provide reasonable protections against interference in a residential installation. However,<br />
there is no guarantee that interference of the Mindset <strong>MS</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> will not occur in a particular installation.<br />
To ensure compliance of the Mindset <strong>MS</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> to FCC rules, a shielded interface cable must be used<br />
between the Mindset <strong>MS</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> and the computer. If the Mindset <strong>MS</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> causes interference to radio<br />
or television reception, which can be determined by turning the Mindset <strong>MS</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> on and off, the user<br />
can try to correct the interference by one or more of the following means:<br />
1. Reorient the receiving antenna.<br />
2. Reorient the Mindset <strong>MS</strong>-<strong>1000</strong>'s position with respect to the receiver.<br />
3. Plug the Mindset <strong>MS</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> into a different power outlet so that it and the receiver are on different<br />
branch circuits.<br />
If necessary, the user should consult the dealer or an experienced radio/television technician for<br />
additional suggestions. The user may find the following booklet helpful: “How to Identify and Resolve<br />
Radio-TV Interference Problems”. It is available from the U. S. Government Printing Office,<br />
