COURSE DESCRIPTION
This Safety and Health Officer Improvement Programme is designated to enhance
Safety and Health Officer knowledge and skill in performing their duties as
Safety and Health Officer in the Industry. It is also act as refresher course for
the purpose of Safety and Health Officer Examinations.

Module 2 : OSH Legislation Refresher
Module 3 : Occupational Health and Hygiene Refresher
Module 4 : Occupational Safety Refresher
Module 5 : Work Ethics

Module 8 : Notification of Accident, Dangerous Occurrence, Occupational Poisoning
and Occupational Disease
Module 9 : Safety and Health Officer Report

Explain SHO work ethics
Explain their organization responsibilities to the community
Explain their role as SHO to help the organizational
Identify component of SHO monthly report
Prepare the monthly report
Submit and present the report to management
Identify legal requirements
Develop registers

Identify hazards
Perform risk assessment
Recommend control measures
Complete the risk assessment form
Evaluate effectiveness of control measures
Explain NADAPOD requirements
Fill in the form
Analyse accident data
Deliver presentation effectively.

LEARNING APPROACH
Practical sessions full of variety of instructional methodology blended with fun and
creative tools.
CANCELLATION/FAILURE TO ATTEND
Once registration is made, fees remain payable unless a notice of
cancellation is received as follows:
At least 7 days before the course date, a full refund will be given
(minus RM50.00 for administrative charges).
Less than 7 days but more than 3 days, a 50% refund will be given plus
a set of course notes.
Less than 3 days, no refund will be made. However, a substitute
delegate can be admitted to the course.
