Milk
Q: What type of milk should I use?
NESCAFE Alegria
FAQ
Ingredients
V. 3.0
16/07/2012
A: Any type of milk can be used according to your preferences, but our recommendation is to use full
fat or semi skimmed milk. Both fresh and UHT milks can be used.
Q: Can I use powdered milk?
A: We do not recommend the use of powder milk as it might not be totally dissolved by the machine
water jet. An option in this case would be to reconstitute it previously to the use in the machine.
Q: Can I use cream/coffee creamer?
A: The machine gives you the flexibility to use cream if you prefer to have a very creamy coffee.
However, one should be aware that the cream may respond differently (layers with coffee, foam
quality and quantity) to the warming and frothing process.
Q: Can I use soya milk?
A: The machine gives you the flexibility to use soya milk if you prefer this to regular milk. However,
one should be aware that the soya milk may respond differently (layers with coffee, foam quality and
quantity) to the warming and frothing process.
Q: Can I use concentrated milk?
A: The machine gives you the flexibility to use concentrated milk if you prefer this to regular milk. The
result will be creamier. However, one should be aware that the concentrated milk may respond
differently (layers with coffee, foam quality and quantity) to the warming and frothing process.

Q: Do I need or should warm the milk before preparing the beverage?
A: The milk does not need to be pre-warmed. For best end-cup quality, please follow the
recommendation of milk quantity. The machine will heat it with the water jet and if you like your
beverage warmer, you can always
- pre-warm your ceramic cup simply with a hot water rinse,
- use paper (or plastic) cups instead of ceramic cups,
- use milk that does not come directly from the fridge or use capsules of ambient evaporated
milk,
- use ambient water into the water tank.
If you warm the milk in advance, we urge you to be careful because it may result in an extremely hot
cup of coffee.
