<strong>Cinnamon</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> hosts <strong>training</strong> <strong>sessions</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Sri</strong> Lanka's Culinary Olympics Team<br />
<strong>Cinnamon</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>is</strong> <strong>currently</strong> <strong>hosting</strong> <strong>training</strong> <strong>sessions</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>eight</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sri</strong> Lanka's top chefs, gearing up to face<br />
the Culinary Olympics in October th<strong>is</strong> year.<br />
The chefs representing different hotels from all parts <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sri</strong> Lanka, are undergoing a four day culinary<br />
<strong>training</strong> at <strong>Cinnamon</strong> <strong>Grand</strong>'s signature restaurants.<br />
"We are very keen to ensure that the culinary skills <strong>of</strong> our talented chefs, get the recognition they truly<br />
deserve. The Culinary Olympics <strong>is</strong> an ideal plat<strong>for</strong>m to showcase the talent base in the country, "<br />
<strong>Cinnamon</strong> <strong>Grand</strong>'s Director Catering Ranjith Morugama said.<br />
Th<strong>is</strong> <strong>is</strong> also the first time that a team <strong>of</strong> chefs from different hotels <strong>is</strong> representing <strong>Sri</strong> Lanka, as one team.<br />
" The <strong>training</strong> <strong>sessions</strong> are aimed at imparting and exchanging knowledge to further hone their skills so that<br />
they can master a variety <strong>of</strong> culinary skills.We are delighted to be part <strong>of</strong> th<strong>is</strong> initiative and help chefs from<br />
other parts <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sri</strong> Lanka," Executive Chef Chaminda Liyanage said. The extensive <strong>training</strong> will be<br />
channelled to other hotels based on the requirements <strong>of</strong> the chefs.
