Friends, family and colleagues will gather to reflect on the legacy of Andrew Fejer,
and to share some of the many special memories about the “father” of modern
Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at IIT, where he was Chair of the department
from 1958 to 1972. Dr. Fejer, 92, died of complications from pneumonia Monday,
March 20, in a Miami Beach hospital, where he was living since the mid-1990s after
he retired.
